Questions Questions Questions

BUMPED AND EDITED: removed the Saturday reference.

OK, onward:

The NARN will be helping the Patriot provide gavel-to-gavel coverage of the convention, starting Thursday night, then all day Friday and until the closing gavel on Saturday.

During the convention, we'll be talking with a number of GOP luminaries. Likely among them: the Governor, Senator Coleman, Rep. and Senate Candidate Kennedy, and (we hope) most of the GOP Reps and Candidates for the House.

Question for you: What would you like to ask them? What would you tell them if you could?

It's a thread for the blog, a topic for the show, and of course stuff I plan on passing on to the candidates at the convention itself.

Leave your notes. I'll use selected comments at the convention.

Thanks.

I'd ask the ones in Washington, why they don't pay more attention to what the public thinks--what the base of their party thinks. Just pay attention to it. I don't expect any politician to govern according to the polls. The public can be wrong too. But, I sure as hell expect them to explain themselves in a timely fashion. Set the public straight if the public has it wrong. It's so easy to do these days--to explain what's going on. Just tell us WHY you do what you do once in awhile. Do it on the internet. More like once a week, than once every three or six months. That's my question. Why can't they post what they're doing each day, or each week at least? It's not that hard to get the message out these days. Not hard at all.

To Norm: What were you thinking when you and a few of your fellow Senators voted for that stupid Amnesty bill, You lost a lot of your base.
Gov. Tim: Why do you have to make such a hugh deal when you sign a bill that your base hates(Twins stadium deal and the grit tax)At least the President signed campaign finance in the dark of night with no fan fare. I held back on how I really feel.

Norm got a few e-mails from me on the amnesty bill.
Two words Norm: Senator Franken.

I need a drink.

I'm not real happy with the Governor about the "health impact fee" or the Twins stadium, but I'm really p*ssed at Senator Coleman. I want to know what possesssed him to vote for the Senate immigration bill, why he voted against drilling in ANWR, and, in view of his being a cosponsor on the racist/separatist Akaka bill, who he really is and what he's done with the real Norm Coleman.
