I just caught the Mike Hatch show on the Patriot. Sue the makers of pseudoephidrine to recoup meth amphetamine costs? The man is not only insane, he is dangerous. Be afraid, Minnesota.

Posted by: Hammerswing75 at February 26, 2006 02:50 PMKermit exhibited a telling alarm at the prospect of reduced methamphetamine production in Minnesota: "I just caught the Mike Hatch show on the Patriot. Be afraid indeed. Minnesotans without crank is just too boring to imagine.

CFACT (the group paying Gilles' salary) was probably a very legitimate cut in the student fees process. While bias against conservatives is rampant in the student fees process this one cut was the right thing to do. CFACT was paying a large portion of their salaries to 2 people: Gilles and another man (Franklin is the last name and I do not know his first name). First, this was well in violation of the standards set for salaries paid through student fees. Second, these were salaries for two people ostensibly working for more than just the Twin Cities campus though the Twin Cities were paying the full load on salaries (the last I heard these salaries were around $45K each). Third, after talking with a number of sources close to the group you would be hard pressed to see any actual value added to the group by both Gilles and Franklin.
They hurt the conservative cause on campus by dropping themselves into a "if liberals can break the rules then so can we" mentality. They should have been above the fold the entire time.

Hey, great show on Saturday. The author is clearly off his rocker with this book. Thank you for not allowing him to tip toe around his blatant attempts at brainwashing young kids with this garbage. I know, he said alot was "tongue in cheek", but I suspect (as did you all) that it wasn't...
