Things Afoot

I'm sitting on, if not the biggest story in the history of this blog, at least the most involved one.

And I can't publish a damn thing about it. Not yet. Maybe tomorrow, maybe a year from now. Not sure yet.

But I get to start figuring it all out in about an hour here.

Stay tuned.

Let me guess: March 4th is reopening?

March 4th is reopening?

Now all we need is for Northern Lights and Roger Dodger music to reopen and I can figure out where all of my money went when I was a kid...

Mitch,

This is the equivelant of a small child singing "I've got a secret! I've got a secret!"

You know he's dying to tell.

Come-on! Tell us, already!

Second shooter in the Cheney thing?

Magic birdshot theory.

I'm waiting for pb to show up and shout "You are not!"

Just bought First Ave. and getting the likes of Cabaret Voltaire, New Order and P.I.L. to play at the opening night?

Let's start some rumours...

Conclusive proof that Mary Katherine Ham is really Hugh Hewitt in drag?

Experimental theater groups announces plans for irreverent production that seeks to tweak bourgeois values?

Tom Cruise really is gay after all?

New Bahrainian restaurant to open in St. Paul?

Either he's gotten a reliable laptop, his show is going into syndication, or he's running for office. Its only a question of time before he's bigtime radio or in politics.

Tease.

Name change to Michelle Berg?

I mean if he's "still figuring it out" you gotta wonder.

Red House Records saw his one-man-band comment from the "59 Factoids" post, and has offered him a four-album contract.

Posted by: Paul at February 16, 2006 01:35 PM

Cool. But in the mean time keep shoveling the dirt on the local media scene. I can't believe that Willy and Co. are still on the air. What's up with Air American Minnesota and could the KTLK hosts, besides Dan Conry, be any more boring?

Zygi Wilf buys the Vikings? Hurricane slams New Orleans? Judge Roberts confirmed? Beatles disband? Archduke Ferdinand shot?

"Red House Records saw his one-man-band comment from the "59 Factoids" post, and has offered him a four-album contract." = Paul

A Red House four release contract pays 'bout as much as Mitch's day job, which is to say....

They are a wonderful (JOHN GORKA)label, but they don't develope talent, nobody gets multiple release contracts, and most of the artists produce their own releases - Red House just coordinates marketing.

You're not gonna pull an Aplikowski and drag this out for the next 5 weeks now are you??

Jac, my man, don't you know exaggeration when you read it?

Posted by: Paul at February 16, 2006 08:07 PM

Ohhhhhh, you were kidding?

Of course! I should have known, you joker you.

No, I just thought it strange that you would mention Red House, and being one of those annoying people who are continually pressing their tastes on "you people who don't know any better", I took the shot at giving them at little more pub.

And as to exaggeration, I suppose you are one of those commie, latte drinking, folkistas.

"I suppose you are one of those commie, latte drinking, folkistas."

I have voted straight Republican since 1992, I hate all forms of coffee, and I listen to blues, jazz and classical.

Wrong on all three counts.

"I have voted straight Republican since 1992"
Which straight republican?

Does it have anything to do with the lovely lady you were sitting with last night?

Geez, I feel so DJ all of a sudden.
