The Party Found Us

If you didn't make it to last Saturday's Minnesota Organization of Bloggers (MOB) party - you should have! It was a great time!

I took a break from my usual assumed role of making sure everyone met everyone else to sit at a table and talk with whomever passed by. The change was noted, but hopefully wasn't a big deal; I had a blast, and it looked like most everyone else did, too.

I'll pass on comments from other bloggers as the day goes on...

Next time, I think every MOB member should wear a nametag with name and URL. It would amp up the geek factor, I realize, but it would also help break the ice and find particular persons. You can't just type in a URL and get routed to the person at Keegan's.

I'm not saying you needed to do the hosting, I'm saying somebody should be doing the hosting. I also like the nametage idea, or something along those lines.

Can't say about everyone else - but Mitch was friendly and attentive when I got to Keegan's to make certain that I knew people at the MOB party. (Thanks, Mitch!)

That being said - I think that the name/URL blog concept on a name tag is a superb one. Dave Downing had cleverly already thought of that for THIS party - and it would have been great if more were immediately identifiable.

Put me down as a common sense geek any day of the week.
