CBS reporter calls Alito "sloppy seconds" at White House briefing

CBS White House correspondent John Roberts used a sexually disparaging term to describe Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito in a question to presidential press secretary Scott McClellan.

This could be one of the lowest points of the White House Press Corps.

OK, MAYBE THE *SECOND* LOWEST...

Great minds obviously think alike, except as regards that whole "getting jiggy with guys" thing.

STOP THE PRESSES! REPORTER AFLICTS THE COMFORTABLE!

What? It was the normal give and take in the White House press room. A bit raunchier then it should be, Roberts got a bit out of line and yeah he should be slapped - a bit - but I'm sorry, Mitch, when I see Drudge throwing red meat with one hand I instinctively look at the other hand to see what he's hiding behind his back. He's like the guy who goes to Cubs games just to start the wave so he can distract people from the sucky pitching.

Now, the big question is, will this little episode get major play in the echo chamber or are Drudge/Gannon just looking for attention? If so, then its a good bet the divide and divert orchestra is in full swing and there's something that needs to be looked at a lot more closely.
