Last weekend on the NARN show, Rocket Man noted that the media (indeed, most lefty pundits) seemed to have had their post-Fitzgerald-indictment stories written in advance.
He has more today - a hilarious example of it, in fact.

For the first time in my life I find myself agreeing with David Letterman. "Should we really have a Scooter in the White House?"
Posted by: Kermit at October 31, 2005 09:33 AMYeah Mitch,
And most of the right had their's written too..
Dog bites Man.

No. We didn't.
For starters, none of us had any idea who, if anyone, was going to be indicted.
But the crux - which you seem to have missed from my posting, PB - is that the media is declaring the administration "reeling"...because of the indictment of a petty functionary who, all evidence available says, alone among the administration screwed up in front of the grand jury. To the point where they had to explain who Scooter Libby was.
Reeling?
Pfffft.
Posted by: mitch at October 31, 2005 01:40 PMThe leftist MSM pre-writes stories all the time. Obits in particular have come to our attention due to some being published accidentally. I wouldn't doubt that many of them had pre-written stories about Karl Rove being indicted because they so badly wanted it to happen.
Posted by: Jinx McHue at October 31, 2005 03:34 PM"Petty functionary"??
Y'know, Libby wasn't the assistant South Lawn gardening intern; he was the chief of staff for one of the most powerful men in the world (and do not even try to argue that the Cheney vice-presidency is without massive influence. Just don't.)
In 1972 how many people knew who Charles Colson was? Petty functionary?
Posted by: Tim at October 31, 2005 08:57 PMErhm, right. Don't tell me Scooter Libby is accused of anything like Colson.
Posted by: mitch at October 31, 2005 10:48 PMGood God...
This is one of your most ridiculous threads in recent memory.
To spawn responses like, "For starters, none of us had any idea who, if anyone, was going to be indicted."
"The leftist MSM pre-writes stories all the time."
"...because of the indictment of a petty functionary.
Seriously, do you guys actually believe this stuff or do you repeat it out of some sense of loyalty or obligation?
All or this over Yahoo News titling a bio article "Who is Scooter Libby". It's not a question guys, it's a stupid headline.
