Katrina Blog Relief Wrapup

I checked out the final results for the "Liberal Blogs for Hurricane Relief" effort.

About $180K. Hey, every penny counts.

Good thing it wasn't a bunch of heartless, self-absorbed conservative bloggers.

No, I'm not trying to be catty. I kid because I can. And $180K ain't chump change, and it's all for a good cause.

But if we conservative bloggers' drive had squibbed, you know dang well we'd have heard about it...

A few weeks back, the Administration backed an effort - one of many - to get pledges to support various initiatives in Iraq. The drive squibbed...

...largely, I suspect, because it had atrocious publicity; every fund drive I've *ever* seen make it to the big-league conservative blogosphere has raised a ton of money, and I don't remember a single iota of publicity about this, and I get a LOT of drive notices.

First, it's a blog, there are 295 Million people, are you seriously bothered by one idiot's opinions? It just doesn't count... no more than some blog saying the world is flat. Going to look for something as obscure as that is carp, plain and simple.

Further, the primary post of this blog, in reality the only point, was IRAQI aid, not Katrina, that's just your spin.

So I re-BS your BS of My BS, because in fact, your complaint is.. BS :).

It wasn't "one idiot's opinion", I saw it on scads of leftyblogs and heard it on "The Daily Show". THE WHOLE LEFTY ESTABLISHMENT was in full titter.

Aid is aid is aid. And conservatives do it better. Because we are more compassionate, when all is said and done.
