Kelly Kampaign Klatsch

Saint Paul Mayor Randy Kelly is holding a big news conference this afternoon, billed as a "major address on the stateof the St. Paul mayor race".

So what's it going to be?

A change in party, a change in strategy, or (here's what I'm hoping) photos of Chris Coleman pounding on puppies with a hammer?

Stay tuned.

I object to you ripping on my close personal friend, Randy Kelly.

Okay, not close, exactly, but he did extend to me his warmest regards AND his personal invitation to a fancy party. No, he didn't personally deliver the invitation himself so much as hang it on my doorknob, but it was still an invitation to a very exclusive party. Well, to a block party. More of a fundraiser, really. Along with everybody else on the block. Which I didn't attend 'cuz it was raining and also I forgot even though he was nice enough to give me about six hundred reminder calls from his oh-so-private phone number 651-000-0000.

But he did wave to me from his firetruck the other day. Actually, it didn't look that much like him. More like a fat union hack stuffed into a yellow Coleman T-shirt. Which was kind of confusing, because Coleman was the old mayor, before Kelly, but maybe they were buddies?

Anyway, quit ripping on my pal. Whose warmest regards have YOU ever gotten?
