From Your Fingertips To My Blog

The other day, commenter PB asked:

No comments about Iraq, about how swimmingly things are going, but just not getting reported?
Damn. PB's right. I've been a big negligent.

There's this. It's part 35 of a series.

And about Iran and North Korea, that old Bush "do it my way" approach sure is working (notwithstanding that he's actually changed his Korea position about 40 times).
You're right, P. It seems to be.

All the usual disclaimers apply, of course. But it's no worse than the "guarantee" that Bill Clinton got, and quite possibly a whole lot better.

Your collective wish is my command mild suggestion.

WOW!!! :)) :):) :) FRONT PAGE AGAIN!!!

I'm so giddy.

First Mitch, a blog-spot of good news, that's about as impressive as.. knocking down prison walls in Basra to get your ill-performing troops out of jail.

Second, he changed positions on Korea about 1000 times, not 40. First, Clinton was totally wrong to give them food, and we won't talk to them. Next, well we'll talk, but not directly, ok, we'll talk directly but only as part of a 6 nation agreement, next, well we won't give them food, but maybe some other form of aid, then, well maybe food too.

Our allies encourage us to talk to them directly, and Clinton did one thing Bush failed to, he made it abundantly plain if they restarted their reactor, we'd blow it to hell. Bush snubbed the S.Korean President (so badly he left in the middle of a state visit), blew the chance at reunification under S.Korean control, and ignored the fact that the N.Koreans restarted their program.

Good plan that.

Bush blew a chance at Korean reunification under South Korean control? What?! Someone actually thinks that North Korean nutball would've agreed to that?

And to characterize what Clinton did as merely giving NK food is absurd. PB knows perfectly well that the disagreement was giving NK nuclear technology, not just food.

This will give poor old Hans Blix something to do. As long as he stays away from the trap door (A rittle to the reft, a rittle more, good).

The North Koreans started their nuke program when Clinton was still in office once they finished laughing at the Clinton/Carter paper agreement.

So much for Bill's threat.
