September 11: Priorities

CNN won't show you this today:

But they will file suit so that you can see the decomposed bodies of people killed by a natural disaster.

The sight of humans falling to their death after a terrorist attack is "too inflammatory" to the network executives, and Allah knows we don't want to inflame people against terrorists...

...but there's apparently no problem "inflaming" people when you (the media, here) are pounding the drum that the Administration is responsible for the carnage in Louisiana?

Michelle Malkin calls BS.

Apples and oranges. The federal government did not prohibit the press from documenting 9/11. The press was free to exercise their own discretion in what to publish. Most outlets chose to suppress photos and footage of WTC jumpers. Now that the feds will let the MSM do their job in NOLA, we will probably see the same restraint with photos of Katrina victims. The sensationalistic, blood-and-guts imagery of the Speed Graphic era is long behind us.

"The federal government did not prohibit the press from documenting 9/11."

It'd be redundant, in any case.

Unhappy with the way things are going in the United States?
Launch a complaint. Let the Commander in Chief know you think
it’s time he and his cabinet stepped aside so that competent leaders
can begin to restore dignity, order, and progress to our nation.

Apparently Teena and Ernest Stavro Blofeld, like mainstream media, would rather highlight Katrina than review 9/11. It's hard for some to believe there IS evil in the world......unless of course you're referring to Republicans.

Marcus: Your turn to play editor! Which story do you put above the fold on the MSM Gazette Observer?

(A) Unfolding events in which a vital American city disappeared from the map and a mammoth diaspora ensued, or
(B) 4-year old story in which no new significant development has occurred.

Posted by: Ernst Stavro Blofeld at September 12, 2005 12:01 AM

9/11 is nothing more than a 4 year old story.

Just can't go away fast enough to suit the moonbats who can barely contain their desire to get on with the revision of this country's greatest man made disaster can it?

The little Eichmann's deserved it didn't they blohard?

"Marcus: Your turn to play editor! Which story do you put above the fold on the MSM Gazette Observer?"

Whichever story the MSM *wants* to see above the fold.

And the stories they *don't* want? They never existed, Winston.

"(A) Unfolding events in which a vital American city disappeared from the map and a mammoth diaspora ensued, "

Cities come, cities go. Hurricanes happen, bureaucrats fail at their jobs (constantly).

"(B) 4-year old story in which no new significant development has occurred."

Other than the toppling of a couple of murderous tyrants and the upsetting of the Islamicist order in the Middle East. Nah. Nothing.

Swiftee,
If you think liberals or lefties (or whatever you want to call anyone who disagrees with you)have abandoned investigating 9/11, you are limiting yourself to inadequate information. There is a new 9/11 Commission funded by individuals and corporations - not the federal government - that continues to try to find answers to questions left unanswered by the appointed panel of the first commission. There are also numerous lawyers still working to bring justice to those resonsible for 9/11, whether the Saudis, al-Qaida, or what some people like to call a "shadow government" entity funded in part by the Israeli government. Just a theory, but worth looking into if we want answers. And we do want answers.

"There are also numerous lawyers still working to bring justice to those resonsible for 9/11, whether the Saudis, al-Qaida, or what some people like to call a "shadow government" entity funded in part by the Israeli government."

So running to court is the correct response to an act of war against your country? Or the fallback position of "blame the Jews."

It's not enough for you that Osama is on tape claiming credit for the attack. Not the "answer" you were looking for?

Despicable and clueless.

Heh, ya know teena (BTW, is that Tina in 3rd grade doodle?), I HAVE heard about those lawyers looking into shadow governments..here's on on the job:

I noticed from day one that "Teena" was "'round the twist".

Late in response, regarding earlier posts:

Daftee: Lame attempt to project my reckoning of the practical realities of journalism as Ward Churchill-esque lunacy. Take that righteous indignation and channel it into more caveman finger paintings.

Mitch: Yes, killer regimes were toppled and spanked. But all of that happened primarily in '01 and '03. Big, big news at the time, but it doesn't warrant 72-point Franklin Gothic headlines today.

I appreciate your memorial posts. The anniversary of 9/11 should be a time of reflection for all Americans, but it can't be on the front page every year.

"Blame the Jews." YOUR WORDS, NOT MINE. I SAID SOME PEOPLE - NOT ME -AND I SAID ISRAELI GOVERNMENT. JEWS LIVE IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD, INCLUDING WHAT HAS BEEN CALLED THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES. EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE JUDGING MY WORDS.

It's not enough for you that Osama is on tape claiming credit for the attack. Not the "answer" you were looking for?
EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THIS SUBJECT, AS WELL. BIN LADEN HAS LONG BEEN A CIA ASSET AND HIS FAMILY HAS BEEN CLOSE TO THE BUSH FAMILY FOR YEARS. WHERE IS THIS FEARED MAN BUSH SAID WOULD BE BROUGHT BACK DEAD OR ALIVE AND THEN SAID, NOT A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER, WAS NOT WORTH THINKING ABOUT? EVEN GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T THINK BIN LADEN IS WORTH THINKING ABOUT? WHO DO YOU TRUST TO BRING THE PERPETRATORS TO JUSTICE IF EVEN THE PRESIDENT DOESN'T THINK THE MAIN SUSPECT IS WORTH THINKING ABOUT?

Posted by: Teena at September 13, 2005 10:21 AM

"BIN LADEN HAS LONG BEEN A CIA ASSET"...

CLASSIC. WHAT WE...oh, sorry...what we appear to have stumbled across here is a rare nexus of plu-perfect tinfoil hattism and unparalleled detachment from reality.

Maybe.

Or, could it be that I'm also a longtime CIA asset, and am misleading you? Hmm? Hmm? Man...we CIA folks are biz-ay. How on earth can you people expect us to meet our obligations to the Bilderbergers, the Trilateral Commission, the Venusian slime creatures from sector 7-G, and our high exalted Israeli masters if you keep chucking our deepest darkest secrets into the light like this? Oh, and while we're on the subject, how is it that a select few obscure self-published newsletters and bulletin boards have become so damned proficient in seeing through our smokescreens, and peering into the cold, dark recesses of our eeeeeeevil master plans?

You're just too clever for the likes of us. BLAST!
