Mobbed Up

I made it to the third biennial Minnesota Organization of Bloggers party at Town Hall Brewery, in Minneapolis' West Bank at Seven Corners.

For starters - I love what they've done with the place. It's a great brew pub; wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and they brew some excellent beer (I laud their Oatmeal Stout and India Pale Ale).

Naturally, the highlight is meeting everyone. I'll see who all I can remember, here:

...and probably quite a few more that I'm missing.

These parties are always the highlight of the season; it's an uncommon pleasure to be stuck in a room (or in this case, the Town Hall's lovely patio at Cedar and Washington) with a bunch of maniacally-diverse people who are all having actual fun together.

I'm looking forward to the next one!

That was the head table? I just followed the scent of good cigars and the sound of brisk talk & laughter - happened to be the Strom Team / Bob Davis / Yost table.

Mitch omits that he wandered from table to table, elevating the energy level of each. It was a great evening; next time I take a cab and drink heavily. Which means I can pop Learned Foot in the kisser for comparing me to Dr. Chandra from 2010, and blame the liquor.

James may just have hit on a great idea for a fundraiser at the next MOB gathering. Instead of a kissing booth or a dunk tank, we offer the "Pop Learned Foot For $10" attraction. By the end of the night, I imagine that over 90% of those in attendance would pony up for the opportunity. I'm sure that LF wouldn't have a problem taking one (or several dozen) for the team.

The Ben character was Uncle Ben from Hammerswing75.

I wasn't there, and even I knew that!
