Confirmation Whoppers

Yesterday, Hugh Hewitt asked for someone to start a "Confirmation Whoppers" blog to track the extreme distortions and outright lies we can expect during the upcoming SCOTUS confirmation hearings.

Gary Gross is taking the challenge at his new blog, Confirmation Whoppers:

One of the things that I plan on doing is having a daily open thread where people can 'nominate' their favorite whoppers. With Sens. Durbin, Boxer, Leahy, Kennedy & Schumer & special interest directors like Nan Aron & Ralph Neas, not to mention all the talking heads in the Agenda Media, this should make for some lively daily & weekly contests.

Other things that I plan on doing daily is compiling the 10 best quotes of the previous day, along with posting articles featuring some of the more incendiary & insulting questions asked during the hearings.
I wouldn't wanna tangle with Gary Gross if I were Chuck Schumer.

When Bush picks an Originalist nominee, like Michael Luttig for example, I wonder who'll play the part of Anita Hill? Once they have a supreme court nominee, then the left-wing groups can finally start casting the part of Anita--since they need someone who's at least been in the same room with the target ... er, nominee.

Eva,

It's a brand new blog. It's not like yours leapt off the page.

By the way - for the love of God, please learn to spell. Get a dictionary - anything. A grownup in this society should not spell that badly and expect to be taken seriously by rational people.

QUICK! POST THE WHOLE COMMENT TO YOUR BLOG!

So you deleted my comment, then comment on my spelling.

The deletion was inadvertent (although I'm sure you'll portray it otherwise on your blog).

Your spelling is a constant thing.

Actually, this one is pretty trivial, so there's nothing worth posting on Lloydletta. The Urban legends you posted on July 4 were amusing, so I posted them.

I just wanted to look back at the post to see what I mispelled that drew your ire, but no, it's gone.

I think you're just jealous that Minneapolis Confidential just gave both my blogs Rave Reviews.

Get over it, Mitch.

To the local left-wing media, leftyblogs are like special olympians. They're really not that good at what they do, but they get lots and lots of praise because there's an interest in encouraging them. That explains why a waste like "Minneapolis Confidential" would rave about Eva Young's projects.

That's why people like "New Patriot" and "Trillin" and Jeff Fecke and Ms Young get quoted. None of you has any real traffic. You wouldn't even be background noise among the center-right MOB blogs in the Twin Cities. In short, if it weren't for a left-leaning media that wants to show that blogs aren't totally a conservative playground in the Twin Cities, a lot of very unworthy lefty bloggers get a LOT more attention than they deserve.

It sucks that a mediocre blog like MNLeftyLiberal or Blog of the Moderate Left or Dump Bachmann gets press attention, while excellent bloggers like First Ring and Bogus Gold, with better traffic than any of them, labor on in obscurity.
