Bloomsday

It's Bloomsday again - the day in Dublin immortalized in James Joyce's Ulysses.

But why listen to me prattle about it, when Red will write 38,000 column inches about it, all of them fascinating!

Sigh. Next year, I'll do Bloomsday in New York. In five years, maybe Dublin.

hahahaha

I'm a lunatic! I'll be reading Molly Bloom's monologue later tonight to a drunken crowd of Joyce freaks at a huge pub downtown called - ehm - "Ulysses". Yup. We're all crazy.

But I can't wait.

The best thing about it is that the people showing up to these things know large sections of it by heart - so as I'm reading, people in the audience will be chiming in.

SO. MUCH. FUN.

My old drummer - who gives you a serious run for your money in both the Irish stakes and the Joyce life, Red - I swear must have recited Joyce in the shower the way most of us sing.

Which reminds me - I need to start a literary party of my own. Maybe get together at Moskva Na Gora [*] in Saint Paul on the anniversary of Borodino, read exerpts from War in Peace, and throw a Bloom-scale party...

[*] "Moscow On The Hill", really, but we might as well get INTO Tolstoii, or what's the point?

Simulated diamonds have long been held in disfavor, because of the assumption that simulation necessarily implies inferiority busybeesco.co.uk. So it might come as something of a surprise that many professional gemmologists are now selling simulated diamonds alongside the real thing. Many of mans finest creations have been born in the lab, and moissanite diamonds are no exception. apply-for-a-credit-card-now.com http://www.apply-for-a-credit-card-now.com/link/shopping---jewelry
