Are those names of TV shows? What happened to I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver?

I guess I should break down one day and buy a TV set, I hear they have gotten real cheap!

How can you *not* have seen an episode of Dallas?

Two of the stars of the show - Steve Kennelly and Susan Howard - are big time NRA promoters. I can loan you the first two seasons on DVD if you'd like to get acquanted with this fine American institution. It's worth it just for the camp alone particularly with the audio commentary as the actors try to explain why six millionares would live in the same ranch house with only one telephone and one bathroom. ;)

Also the Sopranos ties for first place for the most* Republican actors as cast members in a prime time series. I don't have cable but you check out the VHS or DVD's from either the Ramsey County or Hennepin County library. Once you try them you'll want to watch the entire thing.

* The others being Babylon-5 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer each with three actors.

You've never seen Friends. You are my hero, and I wish I could asipre to such greatness. I've sat through about 10 episodes overall, and it's 5 hours I'll never get back.

Hurray, I've found someone else who has never seen an episode of them same shows. Especially Friends. Saw One (1) episode of Dallas, as a captive audience at a dinner party , can you believe it, it was the husband who was addicted. I think of that party every once in a while and just mentally shake my head.

"Most Extreme Elimination Challenge"

Who is the sponsor? Metamucil?

MXC is pure brilliance.

Ted Kaczynski didn't watch much TV either, I hear.

"Ted Kaczynski didn't watch much TV either, I hear."

Not true, I heard he used to watch "Martha Stewart" for house-keeping tips.

Netflix is great for catching up with long story line television series. You can watch the disks in sequence, starting with season 1, episode 1. The missus & I are watching both Buffy and Spranos this way.
Buffy is good but Sopranos is better. Sopranos has boobies.

Thorley -- I know Sara Michelle Gellar and Emma Caulfield are Republicans, but who is the third actor on Buffy who is one?

Posted by: Tim at June 9, 2005 11:44 AM

If you're really enjoying Buffy and are surprised at that fact, then do yourself a favor and check out its spinoff, "Angel." After a few years it leaped head & shoulders above Buffy in the Jones household's esteem. And not just because Buffy was declining (a Buffy in decline is still better than just about anything out there.) And the series finale is just about the best hour of series TV I've ever seen.

I can stand very little on television anymore. I generally stick to the Sci Fi channel. My secret vice is Charmed. :)

How could have not seen the last season of 24? Ahab terrorist sleeper cells in America plotted to execute one disaster after another while our hero, Jack, foils their plans. The bad guys are portrayed as real bad guys; not victims. I couldn't believe that Hollywood got this one right.
While the season was running, Laura Ingraham use to do an episode recap Tuesday morning. I repeat, (tongue and cheek) how you have not seen last season?

re 24: I saw parts of seasons 1 and 2. I know it's a classic. I'm just never around watching TV in the evening, at least not until 9PM or so...

South park didn't make the list? Are you a retard, Mitch?

...and I've never sat through an episode of Friends or Sex in the City or Will and Grace either. Although....I did watch a couple episodes of Dallas many years ago.

I recommend watching Twin Peaks. I discovered it many years after it went off the air. I really like season one. Didn't bother going much further.
