I Make A Point...

...of never paying attention to celebrity trials.

On the day the OJ verdict was delivered, I cloistered myself (along with my co-workers) away from radios, the internet, everything. I was past not caring; I aggressively detested the whole charade to the point where I boycotted the whole thing.

Some lawyer acquaintances say they have a gut feeling the verdict will come in today on the Michael Jackson case. On the one hand, I'll also boycott the whole insipid charade.

On the other - I have a gut feeling that he's going down for at least one of the lesser charges. Not sure which, don't care to dig into it, have no emotional capital riding on the result whether I'm right or not. Just a pure, wild-hair hunch.

Though odds on a guilty verdict are on the rise, oddsmakers in London favor a hung-jury. Could it be that we will have to go through this again? Ugh!!!

If he walks, we just have to wait three years for fresh allegations and a new trial. If he's convicted, we get the joy of an appeal. Either way, like little boys in Jackson's bedroom, we're screwed.

I'm a sucker for a good celebrity trial, Robert Blake's being the most recent one I followed pretty closely. But Centrisity has been a Michael Jackson free zone. Not one word, nor any future mention. I need more then a whacko 'Don't wanna grow up' kid, with a fetish that makes my stomach churn. He's going down, big time!

How I long for the days of the first Melendez Brothers trial. Do ya beleive it's been almost 10 years since that one!
