Both computers in the house are complete blotto. The laptop power supply won't take a charge from the AC adapter, and I think the desktop box's OS kernel is corrupted by all the viruses my kids let onto the system.
Posting may be slow for a few days.

Get a Mac, avoid the problems. Sorry. Hope you can get them all fixed.
Posted by: Scott B at May 1, 2005 05:48 PMYeah, I think about Macs, but it takes a helluvva lot of money to get into them. Sure, a Mini is under $500, nominally, but that's pretty stripped down, and I've been told to start talking at $800 for the machine. Then there's adding all that pricey Mac software.
I'm re-imaging a desktop with XP sometime this week, doing another in some form of Linux or another, and as to laptops, hopefully waiting on a tax refund and finding a used Thinkpad (which I recall being extremely durable...)
