It's been a long, crazy week. Exhausting, if I say so myself.
I won't say I have writer's block - but let's just say I got up this morning not entirely thrilled at the prospect of having to crank out four or five posts.
When I'm feeling a touch of the blogging blahs, of course, there's no better remedy than reading Nick Coleman. There's usually something in there to inspire some sense of aggressive post-ennui response.
I read today's column.
Today is a red-letter day for St. Paul. The piece is pleasant, in an innocuous way; Coleman is reporting on the upcoming auction of the old Schmidt brewery, and especially the old, eight-foot-tall red sign that flashed above the West End of Saint Paul. Now if someone could please just find the red letters.
Nothing to fisk here.
If you can't count on Coleman to toss fresh pork on the table, who can you trust?
It's gonna be a long day.

Today: Second verse, same as the first. More on PowerLine and Jimmy Carter. Someone needs to tell him each radio show needs to be something fresh.

Posted by: Gideon at February 18, 2005 11:32 AMHe actually sounded like a local columnist there for a while! Maybe his radio show is a good thing (for those of us who don't listen), if it gets his name-calling and whining out of the way in a different venue...
