Starting Over

I used to consider Jeralyn Merritt's "Talkleft" to be one of those very, very rare creatures - the intelligent leftyblog.

After hearing her appearing with Hugh Hewitt, Ron Reagan and Monica Crowley on Connected: Coast To Coast (MSNBC) (Transcript via Radio Blogger), it looks like I have to start over:

Let me just say the report said the documents could not be authenticated. And there is a very good reason for that. Because the reporters were working off of copies, and no one has the original. And if you're going to do any kind of forensic document examination, you have to compare a known document to an unknown, and we don't have the known. So all they could say is these documents have not be authenticated. They could not say they were forgeries.

Time for new material, folks.

Like, now.

Even more priceless - Reagan and Meritt both ignored Hewitt's *obvious* sarcasm.

Perhaps sarcasm isn't obvious on the transcript, but it was loud and clear - to any rational observer - on the audio.

I happened to be flipping channels when, by accident, stopped on Coast to Coast.

Ron Reagan Jr. is an embarassment. Sarcastically referring to himself as an elitest lefty,and that Hugh Hewitt was a right wing conspirator, he removed any doubt that he was adopted.

Anyway, Jeralyn read straight from talking points. I think I actually saw her eyes moving side to side, lol. She must be vying for a post in the DNC.

All said, I never liked MSNBC and will never "accidentally" stop there again.

My reaction was nearly the opposite. Reagan is not much worse than Anderson Cooper or any of a zillion other clones.

But Monica Crowley? Hotter than Coulter, sharper than Ingraham, as kick-ass a debater as Malkin?

I may accidentally stray by there quite a bit more.
