This is four straight days I've gone without listening to the Nick Coleman show on the local FrankenNet affiliate.
Wonder if I can go the distance?
And for those of you who've heard the show, what is "the distance?" Predictions?

I suffered through about ten minutes of it today, and, if what I heard is any indicative of the nature of the show, I give it about three months.
In his usually charming style, Nick venomously attacked a lefty caller who dared question comments that he made about Harry Reid. And this was someone on his side politically speaking.
He also should realize that when you use sarcasm for humorous effect, saying "I don't really mean that" immediately afterward tends to diminish the comedic impact.
Posted by: the elder at February 3, 2005 01:08 PMNick Coleman kick's your people's butt's. As his show gos on, he will expose you for the stooge's you are. Coleman is the first part of a wave that will take you wingnut's down.
Posted by: Anna Wooten at February 3, 2005 01:26 PMMy morning commute is all of 10-15 minutes long. which means i get to hear about 7 minutes of radio. Strangely everyday for the last four days its been same thing, lambasting bloggers. Today he was reading comments that people had left about the show (on blogs). I was really dissapointed he didn't share mine(my comments).
I don't think you can postulate how long this show will last. Normal logic doesn't apply in the reality based community.
Posted by: rick at February 3, 2005 02:56 PMAnna: [threateningly] We Lefties aren't all smiles und sunshine.
The Elder: [recoils in mock horror] Oooh, Nick Coleman is mad at me. I'm so scared! Oooh, Nick Coleman! [hiding behind Mitch] Uh oh, Nick Coleman is going to get me!
Anna: Stop it!
The Elder: Don't let Nick Coleman come after me. Oh no, Nick Coleman is coming after me.
Anna: Please stop the `pretending you are scared' game, please. Stop it! Stop it!
The Elder: [brief pause, then resumes] No! He's so big and strong!
Anna: Stop it. Stop it, Elder. Please stop pretending you are scared of us, please, now.
The Elder: Oh, protect me from Nick Coleman! Nick Coleman...
Anna: Elder, STOP IT!

Anna: for apostrophe brush-up, get a copy of "Eats, Shoots and Leaves." Good instruction along with good humor.
