GOP District 59

I spoke at a meeting for the District 59 GOP last night. District 59 covers much of northeast and southeast Minneapolis - deep in the heart of moonbat Minneapolis.

My speech - on why the new media should matter to them, an embattled little GOP BPOU in the middle of the DFL wasteland - seemed to go over pretty well. I had a great time talking with everyone in attendance, including the inimitable and ubiquitous Pink Monkeybird, a member of the caucus. They've already started their effort to unseat Larry Pogemiller in '06; prospective candidate Sandy Burt (I hope I'm not butchering the name, I didn't actually get her biz card) spoke, along with the Governor's Chief of Staff, Dan McElroy and State Senator Chris Gerlach.

Disclosure: I was paid two drinks and a dinner. Look out, Kos.

Thanks for the blurb, Mitch. But I should correct the record that I'm not actually a member of the SD59 caucus...I reside in SD60. I was a visiting guest. I was glad to be there because I've met so many terrific personalities from SD59 who I wanted to have the chance to meet with again, and I wanted to hear your presentation. Thanks for an exciting and, as always, humorous pontification. Barry is to be commended for featuring you at the podium and your volunteering to do so gratis was indeed a generous fund-raising gesture.

You were fantastic! I'm glad to see our group embrace the new media -- a testament to the forward thinking nature of Republicans.

One point of clarification -- it is Sandy Burt.

Thanks so much for helping us out. What an amazing weekend. I'm still overwhelmed by the words and pictures from Iraq yesterday.

Meals Ready To Eat and Mississippi River Bottled Water (from the ooze underneath Metal Matic). Sure beats SOS, a "Nordeast" specialty!

Your words are inspiring for us in the trenches. Take the fight to the blogs! But first we have to overcome the highest bouffant in Minnesota, not to mention the overwhelming smog of Aqua Net.
