Mitch, I didn't even know snow came down vertically until I moved south from Grand Forks/Warren.

Raleigh NC had 1" of snow Thursday and the whole area shut down.

Fortunately it fell on a Friday night so the evening commute, while bad, didn't leave the StarTribune another chance to complain that Pawlenty didn't have enough people out shoveling the roads...
