Minnesota's ten Democrat electoral college representatives met yesterday, and...

Defeated Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry likely is going to get one less electoral vote nationally than he should have -- 251 instead of 252 -- because of an apparent mistake Monday by one of Minnesota's 10 DFL electors.

One of the 10 handwritten ballots cast for president carried the name of vice presidential candidate John Edwards...

The funny part? Edwards was...

...(actually spelled "Ewards" on the ballot)

The other funny part is where the activist said it was probably because the ballots looked so much alike. That’s because they were BLANK and you were supposed to WRITE IN THE NAME OF THE CANDIDATE.

Seriously, I think this illustrates a greater problem for the DFL. They weren’t really so much FOR Kerry as they were ABB. Unfortunately for them, a vote marked “ABB” doesn’t count.
