First Annual Webster Words Contest

NZ Bear - a favorite of the Northern Alliance - has a fun one today:

Merriam-Webster Inc. said on Tuesday that blog, defined as "a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks," was one of the most looked-up words on its Internet sites this year...
The list:
1. blog
2. incumbent
3. electoral
4. insurgent
5. hurricane
6. cicada
7. peloton
8. partisan
9. sovereignty
10. defenestration
Bear's response, of course; write a sentence using all ten words.

You know I can't resist.

To wit:

It is incumbent on a guy with a partisan blog, acting as a lonely electoral insurgent (as if he was a cicada in a hurricane), to assert his sovereignty, even though the ignorant might call demand his defenestration, or even call him a peloton, even though they had no idea what "peloton" meant before the Bear wrote about it...
Your turn.

I foresee a blog post about the electoral contest in Iraq between the incumbent and (covertly) insurgent parties as Saddam, who enjoyed unquestioned sovereignty just two years ago, is being hurled to the ground from an upper window of one of his former palaces in a scene reminiscent of the defenestration of Prague, and a peloton of French UN observers descends like a hurricane into Baghdad so that they can eat frog legs, snails, and chocolate-covered cicada treats while pretending to have no partisan interest in the proceedings.

OK, I'm not near the linguist you are, but is this acceptable;

"The sovereignty of this blog is in question as the writer continues to tout the electoral victory of the incumbent president with the assistance of the insurgent NARN members who also whisp through screeds like a cicada
in a hurricane, furthering the partisan banter within their peloton before the tool they use becomes a victim of defenestration."

In 2004, the peloton of partisan leftist blogs proved entirely unable to effect a defenestration of the incumbent through the electoral process, at least in part as a result of a hurricane of insurgent populism; this eruption of populism, akin to the eruption of cicadas from the ground after years of hibernation, has begun to return sovereignty from the hallowed hellholes of academe and the fourth estate to the pajama-clad masses whence it legitimately derives.

(I realize the semicolon splice is hard to justify and the metaphors are mixed, but there you go.)
