Stolen Honor To Air: Petards being Stress-Tested

Chumley Wonderbar says "Stolen Honor" will air this coming Wednesday at 9PM on the Twin Cities' WB/Sinclair affiliate.

In other news, the Democratic Party was rebuffed in its effort to get a situational revocation of the First Amendment today.

Ironic, isn't it? The left burns up a bank full of political capital getting McCain-Feingold passed, allowing their in-the-tank media free reign - and they're upset that the right is doing it better.

I'll be tuned in. (Now that would be a fun listener event. Any of you venue owners out there wanna host the NARN on Wednesday?)

With my kids going to two different youth groups in two different towns, I doubt we could make a gathering to watch Stolen Honor on Wednesday. But it does bring to mind an idea I've been harboring. What about an election night get together for NARN/Patriot listeners? Any chance the Hilton would accomodate the group again?

DC: It's a fine idea, but the NARN has some other commitments that night, singularly and as a group.

We will, however, be having another get-together sometime very shortly after the election. Stay tuned.

Not only will they not be showing this film, but they now claim that was never their intention.

I guess watching their advertisers bail and their stock tumble faster then Jack and Jill they needed to do some fast backtracking.

Flash - STEP AWAY FROM ATRIOS! Re-read the story, neighbor; that's not what it says.

tvguide.com lists The Point:Stolen Honor, to air at 9:00 PM Wednesday. Now, the article states they will air "A POW Story: Politics, Pressure and the Media." on Friday.

The article claims that "Contrary to numerous inaccurate political and press accounts, the Sinclair stations will not be airing the documentary "Stolen Honor" in its entirety. At no time did Sinclair ever publicly announce that it intended to do so. In fact, since the controversy began, Sinclair's website has prominently displayed the following statement: "The program has not been videotaped and the exact format of this unscripted event has not been finalized. Characterizations regarding the content are premature and are based on ill- informed sources."

Even on the Stolen Honor website, the make claim to Sinclair's intent to air their Documentary

. . . and the title of your posting impies to me that was what you presumed.

All I said is that they may have needed to reconsider due to pressure from their stockholders following the nose dive of their stock.

I don't think Sinclair, or any company in America, has much to worry about for taking the side of tortured American POWs. I'll take their side--in a popularity contest against Kerry--anyday.

I'll take Friday at 7 over Wendsday at 9 any time!

I also think that Sinclair is handling this pretty well. They have indeed been saying the final product has not been produced for at least two weeks now, and I think that they are most likely molding the showing of the film into a more credable format.

I'll be tuned in!
