Rocket Man has the best one:
I've always thought of him as a rather dull-witted stiff. But that's wrong. He is a demagogue of some genius, like Father Coughlin or Huey Long, with, I think, the psychopathology that that implies. Two, Bush was much better tonight, more animated and energetic. He had several good spontaneous moments, one or two of which were funny. Did he "win"? Beats me. But he did fine; he certainly didn't lose any ground tonight.Coughlin and Long... Posted by Mitch at October 8, 2004 09:46 PM | TrackBack
Bush was in top form. Kerry hurt himself with continued denigration of our allies and continued fantasies about non-allies like France and Germany (the REAL coalition of the bribed) joining us. I thought Bush hammered him on Iran and N. Korea. Kerry's continued insistence that the WoT is only about al Qaeda is childish.

It seemed to me that his answer was heartfelt, and that for the first time in two debates we were seeing Kerry's natural personality coming through. His whole demeanor and tenor changed. For a moment he seemed like an actual human being.
Of course it only served to highlight his shameful and phony posturing and play acting on foreign policy and the safety of my children.
