My son lives in N'awleans. He called me Monday night; he and a friend were thinking of leaving. "You'd better leave," I told him (what are dads for?). They took off at one in the morning for Dallas.

I heard from him the next morning. They were listening to the radio news in Texas and heard that traffic on I-10 was bumper-to-bumper with people fleeing Ivan. I'm happy they left when they did and so are they.
