Second Great Minnesota Blogger Get-Together

We at the Northern Alliance would like to remind you that if you're a blogger, or a blog fan, we'll be holding the Second Great Minnesota Blogger Get-Together, after this Saturday's NARN broadcast.

We'll meet at 3:30pm at the International Bazaar beer garden. The International Bazaar is the big cement building north of the Patriot booth on Judson Avenue, just south of the Space Needle.

Let us know if you're interested, in the comments section!

I would like to attend your upscale tea party, please. Is there a dress code?

Serona and Tenn (and family) from Cyber::Ecology blog are planning on being there.

I'd like to go, but I'm not so much looking forward to braving the crowds at the Fair.

Yes, I would some more cheese with my whine.

:-)

If I come, can I wrassle with Al?

Posted by: Swiftee at September 1, 2004 10:47 PM

I will definately be there. I missed the first one as I had not started a blog at that point. I am a "newbie" in the blogosphere. But hey, The Capt. has me on his blogroll so I can't suck too bad!
It's a good idea to have one big blow out after this long two weeks. The Fair...the trivia and of course the convention. I think we will all need a big nap next week!

Hmmmm, I was supposed to repaint the kitchen cabinets on Saturday, I suppose I could tear myself away.

My girlfriend and I are going to the fair Saturday, so I'll encourage her to take a jaunt over to the needle at around 3:30.

I wish I could make it. But I already went with the wife and kids last week. Some old customers from the AgDomain days were exhibiting, so I wanted to go early during the animal judging.

Total aside... My sis-in-law has a new roommate from India. Like, brand new from India. He's never been in North America before, never been in the US before, never been in Minnesota before. So the dude gets off the plane and what's the first thing she does? She takes him DIRECTLY TO THE FAIR. Now *that's* culture shock.

Off topic, the NARN have to beat up Jay Larson and get some t-shirts with that nifty new logo, to say nothing of caps and mugs, at the Patriot booth. I love Hugh and Micheal Medved et al, but talk about plain jane offerings. We need the NARN to bring some fashion to the place.

There are NARN shirts available at the Patriot booth. In fact they are special collecter's editions, which will no doubt be very valuable someday. Remember the stamp with the upside down airplane...

Pinkmonkeybird, he say: "I would like to attend your upscale tea party, please. Is there a dress code?"

If we have to wear dresses, I ain't coming. :)

Since the NA has been bery, bery good to me, an out-of-state blogger, I'll be sure to raise my Super-Size Coke and proclaim a rousing "Huzzah!" in your honor. Hope your tea party goes swimmingly, even if people do decide to ignore the dress code.

My wife and I plan to be there (as if there was any doubt).

Posted by: Steve Gigl at September 2, 2004 10:44 AM

Considering the fact I'm currently car-less, it's not likely that I'll attend, but I'll give it my best shot.

Posted by: Kathy at September 2, 2004 11:09 AM

I'll do my best to make it down. My parents are in town that day, but I might be able to spare an hour or two while they play with their grandkids. I can't stay for the whole thing, but maybe a beer or two.

I still have presale Fair tickets from years past.

This is a good excuse not to let the '04 versions go to such waste!

Used to climb the fence behind the Midway, but that dates me.
