Slim-Fast done up and dumped Whoopi Goldberg, child!

Slim-Fast was upset about Goldberg's obscene rant at last week's Democrat fundraiser:

Florida-based Slim-Fast said it was "disappointed" in Goldberg's remarks at last Thursday's $7.5 million star-studded fund-raiser at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

"Ads featuring Ms. Goldberg will no longer be on the air," Slim-Fast General Manager Terry Olson said in a statement, adding that the company regrets that Goldberg's remarks offended some customers.

Someone call Michael Moore! Chilling effect on art! I blame Halliburton!

Comes up for me, just took forever. Perhaps yahoo's having problems. Wouldn't be a first. I laughed so hard when I heard about that.

What I love is that if she's so open about her humor and hate for Bush, why did they let media crews film the event? Do they have something to hide? Doesn't it have something to do with /France/ or /Elf/?

Chilling effect on art?

Heck, this a blatant assault on the ability of a poor black woman to make a living.

Oh, yeah, and feed her children.

Shoot. And don't forget by a vile corporation dedicated to nothing more than profits.

Waittaminute. By a vile corporation raking in massive profits at the expense of people who can't control their eating habits in the face of other vile corporations and their underhanded advertising campaigns extolling us all, the people, to eat more and more.

Touch 'em all!

when you agree to hawk a companies wares you also agree to uphold their "image" I got no problem with firing goldberg for not upholding her end of the bargain.

"upholding their image?" The commercials themselves failed to do that, what with her barely able to pull her waistband away from her torso to demonstrate the "slimming" effects of the product.
