Bush: Don't Think About It

Bush rejected calls for Rumsfeld's resignation.

This is absolutely correct. If anyone out there thinks the Secretary of Defense is stupid enough to have countenanced the sort of things that happened at Abu Ghraib, feel free to convince me.

And to sack Rumsfeld over such dubious (and let's be honest - media-hyped) pretenses would not only be a political victory for Bush's political opponents - it'd be one for our military opponents as well.

Unless we find evidence that Rumsfeld ordered the "torture", it's a non-story that the media is whipping up to support their own agenda.

Damn straight, Rumsfield should be strung up, just like Janet Reno was over the Waco fiasco, when Americans (okay, Texans) were gassed and grilled. I remember when Newt stuck Janet's head on that pike just as clear as my last acid flashback...oh, is it time for me to take my meds?

Gotta go, but you keep in mind how the Sainted Mr. Clinton was forced, at gunpoint, to abandon St. Reno to those ATF agents who came to yank her out of Bill's arms...yes, I swallowed the pills, can I go listen to Air America now? They make so much sense after the two o'clock meds...
