Deadly Month

The Today Show notes that 126 Americans have died this past month. They are agog at the casualties.

Un-noted; that is almost exactly the death toll in the four days of the ground phase of the first Gulf War.

And if you divide the number of deaths on September 11th by the 4 hour total duration of the attacks, its equal to about 10 minutes.

The score so far is

US Deaths ( War on Terror, since Sept 11th)
NYC - 2,726
DC - 415
Pennsylvania - 255
Afghanistan - 53
Bali - 202
Madrid - 180
Ryhadi - 45
morocco - 41
Iraq - 739

Terrorism is not new:

From 1968 until 2000, there were 4,957 terrorist attacks against U.S. interests.

- We lost 854 people due to those attacks.
- Worldwide, during that same time frame, there were 14,039 terrorist attacks, resulting in 10,614 deaths.
