I&#8217;ll add emphasis:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On Sunday, Ms. Erdely, in her first extensive comments since the article was cast into doubt, <strong>apologized to Rolling Stone\u2019s readers, her colleagues and \u201cany victims of sexual assault who may feel fearful as a result of my article.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>She apologized to her readers, colleagues, and people who felt triggerwarned?<\/p>\n<p>Well, isn&#8217;t that special.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing for\u00a0<em>the people she falsely accused? \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The people she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=4&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=0CDMQFjAD&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fabcnews.go.com%2FTheLaw%2Fstory%3Fid%3D3285862&amp;ei=oYUiVbW5PMGMsAWa2oEw&amp;usg=AFQjCNHo4VISY84nneVx9_7OohLgWYDGTA&amp;sig2=a-KLXg-tMBvL95g_d0CV2g&amp;bvm=bv.89947451,d.b2w\">nifonged<\/a>?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In an interview discussing Columbia\u2019s findings, Jann S. Wenner, the publisher of Rolling Stone, acknowledged the piece\u2019s flaws but said that it represented an isolated and unusual episode and that Ms. Erdely would continue to write for the magazine. The problems with the article started with its source, Mr. Wenner said. He described her as \u201ca really expert fabulist storyteller\u201d who managed to manipulate the magazine\u2019s journalism process. When asked to clarify, he said that he was not trying to blame Jackie, \u201cbut obviously there is something here that is untruthful, and something sits at her doorstep.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So Amoral Pig Erdely ran a story without even the faintest whiff of what used to be considered journalistic due diligence, buuuuuuuuut of course she&#8217;ll continue to &#8220;write&#8221; for\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been my theory for most of a decade now that the &#8220;Society of Professional Journalists'&#8221; &#8220;Code of Ethics&#8221; is nothing but a framework by which media outlets can justify absolutely anything they do, even if only by pleading &#8220;we subscribe to the SPJ Code of Ethics&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s very close to becoming a new Berg&#8217;s Law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the Easter Weekend\/news hole,\u00a0Rolling Stone\u00a0magazine and their writer, Sabrina &#8220;Amoral Pig&#8221; Erdely, retracted their hatchet job University of Virginia rape story.
