{"id":25972,"date":"2012-02-03T05:48:55","date_gmt":"2012-02-03T11:48:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=25972"},"modified":"2012-02-03T05:49:54","modified_gmt":"2012-02-03T11:49:54","slug":"sartre-had-a-point","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=25972","title":{"rendered":"Sartre Had A Point"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to D-list political punditry, hell is other peoples&#8217; predictions.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong. \u00a0I&#8217;m someone else&#8217;s &#8220;other people&#8221;. \u00a0And my predictions have been&#8230;well, <em>generally <\/em>good. \u00a0I called the 2004 Prez and 2006 Governor&#8217;s races pretty much to the point. \u00a0I nailed the 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 8th CDs almost to the vote. \u00a0Yeah, I blew the 2006 Senate race by about ten, and there&#8217;ve been a few clinkers. \u00a0I also predicted Norm Coleman and Tom Emmer in squeakers over Senator Smalley and Governor Fauntelroy &#8211; and if you left out fraudulent \u00a0and multiple votes, I think I may still have been right.<\/p>\n<p>Still, as much as I love doing predictions, there&#8217;s an intense <em>Schadenfreud <\/em>when other peoples&#8217; predictions &#8211; especially journalistic A-listers &#8211; come a cropper.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaljournal.com\/2012-presidential-campaign\/the-best-totally-wrong-predictions-of-the-republican-primary-20120202\">And a cropper they came<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Funny stuff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to D-list political punditry, hell is other peoples&#8217; predictions.
