Tea Party Organizers: Checklist Item

All of you who are busy organizing tea parties out there?  I know you’re busy, so here’s a quick note.

You and I both cringe at some of the signs and posters that show up at tea parties.  And we all know that any political movement will draw a fringe; hell, even the Red Guards had people that embarassed the other Red Guards.

But the next time there’s a Tea Party, there should be a concerted effort to take pictures of the people with the most embarassing posters.

Because there’s a pretty decent chance that they’re working for the other guys.

Thanks. See you in April.

  1. Are you trying to tell us that good, well-intentioned liberals would deliberately try to smear the Tea Party protests? Inconceivable! Next thing you’ll try and tell us is those same virtuous liberals would use an obscene sexual slur in reference to Americans exercizing their Constitution right to protest.

  2. Yeap, just like more Protest Warrio behavior.

And “mitch’s” I know you are but what am I play is his way of saying “We can do it but your can’t cause the rules are different for us.”

Ya wanna bitch about something clean your own house first before complaining about he opposition doing the same thing. They are both wrong and do not contribute to healthy dialogue. But that would assume you want to grow about and behave like adults instead of playing immature Junior high “nannie nannie boo boo” games.

  3. Kermit, I’ve posted before…..my Congresswoman called me an angry testical licker. Class act that Betty.

  4. So Flash answers the charge with “I know you are, but what am I?” and then proceeds to chastise Mitch for doing the same.

  5. The difference, Froggie is that I find both behaviors inexcusable and poor form, whereas You folks give one a pass, and find the other wrong. Which makes the Mitch rhetorical gambit useless! I mean, if he could really argue against me would, but he can’t, so he spins away. Typical of the Party of hate!

  6. Chuck, can you show me the source, video, print, of that quote. As one who has never voted for or supported Rep McCollum, I want to document events like this. She’s gotta go!

Maybe Mitch is too busy responding to Peevee flash, or doesn’t consider yyou worthy of his time, I hope he does to deconstruct your craziness though. At least our side behaves with some sense of civil discourse and doesn’t usuallly assault the other side, does your side do those things?

  8. I find both behaviors inexcusable and poor form, whereas You folks give one a pass

Really? Where have I, personally, or anyone else on the right “given” a “pass” to a conservative, say, going to a Franken rally with, for example, a “Democrats For The Klan” poster? Or an “Another Klobuchar Supporter for 9/11 Truth!” sign? Or anything of the sort?

Please show examples. Heck, show us ONE actually germane example (and by that I mean “not a rhetorical stretch leading to a false equivalence). (By the way, Protest Warrior is not an example; Protest Warrior parodied lefty signs, but they always identified themselves. Always).

Since this is exactly the sort of accusation that sent you into a fit of pique in the “Stay Classy” thread when you thought (mistakenly) it was aimed at you, I’m sure you’d like to make sure you’re being clear on this.

So be clear. How have I, or anyone I could reasonably be linked to, “given” that “pass?”

  9. Next thing you’ll try and tell us is those same virtuous liberals would use an obscene sexual slur in reference to Americans exercizing their Constitution right to protest.

Bwa-ha-ha, it bears repeating that you guys foisted that nickname upon yourselves and we simply ran with it. If y’all are gonna feed us straight lines like Bud Abbott what do you expect?

  10. Here’s an example of the hate & spin that Flash protests against every chance he . . . well, he never does.
    In Salon, Glenn Greenwald, writes:

Standard-issue Republicans and Ron Paul libertarians are as incompatible as two factions can be — recall that the most celebrated right-wing moment of the 2008 presidential campaign was when Rudy Giuliani all but accused Paul of being an America-hating Terrorist-lover for daring to suggest that America’s conduct might contribute to Islamic radicalism — yet the Republicans, aided by the media, are pretending that this is one unified, harmonious, “small government” political movement.

    http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2010/02/21/libertarianism/index.html

Being Greenwald, he can’t help but lie. First note the weasel words “Rudy Giuliani all but accused . . . “. This means, in plain English, that Giuliani did not accuse Paul of being an “America-hating Terrorist-lover for daring to suggest that America’s conduct might contribute to Islamic radicalism”
Here’s the actual exchange Greenwald links to back up his “all but accused . . .” claim:

REP. RON PAUL, R-TEXAS, GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: They attack us because we’ve been over there, we’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We’ve been in the Middle East. I think Reagan was right. We don’t understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics.

RUDY GIULIANI, GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: That’s an extraordinary statement of someone who lived through the attack of Sept. 11, that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before and I’ve heard some pretty absurd explanations for Sept. 11.

That’s it. You have Paul making the risible remark that enforcing the No-Fly Zone led to Islamic terrorism against the U.S., and Giuliani’s response that Paul’s word’s were ‘extraordinary’ and perhaps ‘absurd’.
Greenwald turns this rebuke into “America-hating terrorist-lover”.
This is how the “Party of Flash” engages in debating the issues of the day, lie and spin, lie and spin . . .

  11. Bergs Faux law #7 is a contradiction of itself. LOL

Glad you guys can rally around the wagons when you now your plight is worthless. Typical!

Mitch, you constantly create scenarios were only you control the definition so that there is no way to comply. You are right, I admit that you have created enough wiggle room and specificity to your request that I could not find an example in those circumstance, but that doesn’t not dilute my point.

And ‘Stay Classy’ is ©Mikey Brodkorb, so when I see that ‘phrase’ it automatically means you are going to be even less classy in due time, so lets set the stage for a “I know you are but what am I’ moment.” I’ll admit, you guys are MUCH better at that then anyone else. You must feel proud.

    Flash

  12. Tim,

    I’ve underestimated you.

Bwa-ha-ha, it bears repeating that you guys foisted that nickname upon yourselves and we simply ran with it.

Because you’ve managed the almost-rhetorically impossible; you’re being disingenuous, AND you’re lying, and doing them on two different rhetorical axes, simultaneously!

Because yeah, a few conservatives “teabagged” congress by sending bags of, y’know, Lipton. But you DO know damn well that every single one of you mindless hamsters on the left are referring to bags of testicles.

    Bravo!

If y’all are gonna feed us straight lines like Bud Abbott what do you expect?

From you? An endless morass of stupidity.

  13. Flash,

You’re rubber and we’re glue. Duly noted. And mighty clever, slipping a completely out-of-context “Faux” and a Brodkorb non-sequitur in there. Kudos

Now – are you going to give us that evidence that Protest Warrior is violent or obscene?

    Thanks!

  14. And stay classy, Tim. Just the way you are. We conservatives are counting on it. In a little under 9 months from now. Bwa-ha-ha right back at you.

  15. And what on Earth does “now your plight is worthless” mean? That has to be one of the more poorly formed thoughts I’ve read in a long time.

  16. And stay classy, Tim. Just the way you are. We conservatives are counting on it. In a little under 9 months from now. Bwa-ha-ha right back at you.

Hoooo-kay professor Buckley, have fun bwa-ha-ha-ing all the way to the first annual Birther Convention in El Paso. Make us proud.

  17. “Where have I, personally, or anyone else on the right “given” a “pass” to a conservative, say, going to a Franken rally with, for example, a “Democrats For The Klan” poster? Or an “Another Klobuchar Supporter for 9/11 Truth!” sign? Or anything of the sort?”

    Well, Flush, got an answer?

    *crickets*

  18. True Chad. Flash’s point is insoluable.

Tim, Good night and good luck. Say hi to your uncle Keith Olbermann for me.

  19. flash said:

No, your point is diluted by the fact that you do not support your point. You just repeat it.

If you want everyone to act as if you made a valid comparison between the nimrods in question and Protest Warrior, it would be helpful if you actually did it.
