The “Party Of Science” (TM) In Action

I was down at the State Capitol yesterday morning for the Gun Owners Lobby Day.

While there, I ran into a bunch of legislator friends, including former Representative, now Senator Eric Lucero.

Who told me this story, which I’m pleased to pass on to all of you now.

Anyone get the impression Senator Mitchell was a “Meteorologist” at a failing small-market TV station before becoming part of the DFL machine?

Maybe Steve Carell studied her before doing “Anchorman?”

Always willing to fix the world’s problems with solutions from his(self designated) morally superior position is nonetheless incapable of answering this simple moral question for himself.

At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

  2. Putin has accomplished one though — he’s managed to unite the West. Putin and Russia are drowning in a sea of lies entirely of the Kremlin’s making. They are victims of their own lies and propaganda, and this is what will ultimately bring the whole thing down. Reality eventually comes and bites you in the posterior.

Still can’t face your own reality…

At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

  4. This is what conservatives asked for when they overturned Roe. They wanted to let the states decide. Minnesota has decided.

Have you considered enlisting Mitch Berg and his-band: ‘Elephant in The Room’ to help raise money for adoption and crisis pregnancy services?

Do something that actually will impact the services you’re advocating for.

Your witty banter only goes so far.

Once again yours is not the prerogative to define how anyone should behave. You present yourself as morally superior yet suggest courses of action that are morally corrupt. Show us you truly are the morally superior being you pretend to be and answer this question…

At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

  6. Can’t help but think that the war hawks commenting on SITD are hoping that the Russians will stop acting like Russians.

  7. ⬆️ Putin has found friends in the west by posing as a defender of traditional values.

Yes, the depraved Putin, whose country is massively backwards and corrupt, has one of the highest abortion rates, a declining population, endemic alcoholism and violence perpetrated on women as well as low, regular church attendance rates. And hosts a large Muslim population on its territory. Apart from a small minority of people in Europe, these days, who believes Russian propaganda?

  8. Don’t know why Emery is pointing at me, I never said anything about Putin’s so-called “support of traditional values.”
Note that when Emery accuses other comments of writing certain things, he never links to whatever remarks he is writing about. There is a reason for that.
Typically poor response by the local troll.

  9. Come to think of it, I have never written anything complimentary about Putin.
Again, if you agree with Emery, you need to rethink your position very, very carefully.

  10. UMMP; I don’t know that you’ve said anything nice about Putin, but Swiftee sure has.

Regarding “hoping the Russians will stop acting like Russians”, we would have suggested the same thing about Germans and Japanese prior to 1945, no? What we learned at that point is that it was not the German people or the Japanese people who were bat-guano crazy, but rather the warlords. So when the warlords were discredited, the nations followed.

I suggest the same thing is afoot for Benito Putina and his minions in the FSB.

  11. Bikebubble groaned: “…that he was saying that as Russia withdrew from northern Ukraine, those troops would quickly be redeployed to the east and capture all of Donbas. Reality; just the opposite, as they’ve lost Kharkiv and portions of Luhansk, and the lines in Donetsk are about the same as they were a year ago.”

    Hahahahaha!

Did you look at the map Bigman shared, Mr. Bubble? What part of the Donbas do the Russians not control?

They have a fat buffer against NATO, they control the entirety of the Sea of Asov and they have the land bridge to Crimea they wanted. They have taken these lands, and it’s a Donbas deal! (See what I did there?)

Don Zelensky is gonna have to move his tranny show North West.

At this point, the RF can just stand off and pummel Uke positions. Which is exactly what they’ve been doing.

  12. It’s worth remembering that small quantities of modern NATO equipment have several times had game changer impact on Ukrainian battlefields, out of proportion to the numbers committed. Good examples are the NLaws and Javelins during the initial invasion. Then the HIMARS and Caesar howitzers in the successful Ukrainian counter offensives last summer and autumn.

Quality is clearly triumphing over quantity, a result of the poor standard of ex-Soviet weapons.

Through lots of Western countries each committing a small number of tanks each, Ukraine can put together a tank force that might not sound big in size, but can have a disproportionate effect on the battlefield due to its quality. I would add that the professionalism, bravery and determination of the Ukrainian forces when combined with the weapons was what delivered the outcome.

  13. Lol…General rAT shares his vast tactical wisdom.

When’s ice out on your FaBULouS LaKE this year, rAT?

Still got snow at your SKi ShAK?

    Lol

  14. Minnesota just enshrined abortion in the constitution.

No one is happier than I am. I hope all leftist states are as successful.

    Let the slaughter begin!!

  15. I’ll help out resident bigot out with the status in Donbas; half of Donetsk is still controlled by the good guys, the same half of Donetsk, more or less, that was controlled by the good guys last April. The great offensive Swiftee was predicting resembles, both in miniscule advances and casualties among the attackers, little so much as Verdun or Ypres.

One would figure the Russian military academies would teach the history of the First World War and why one doesn’t want to repeat Verdun or Ypres, but apparently not. One can only hope that the Russians get to repeat their experience at Tannenberg as German, U.S., and French armor come to Ukraine.

    Putin delenda est!

  16. In more news, Wagner leader Prigozhin is bragging (?) about making his criminal conscripts into real cannibals. Well, given Prigozhin’s history of providing contaminated food to Russian prisoners, and no food at all to his private army, along with horrendous unsanitary conditions for them, it all sort of makes sense. One wonders if they’ll use Monty Python’s lifeboat skit as training material.
