Evidence

It’s been my theory – almost but not quite a Berg’s Law – that DFL pols know they can say anything they want about anything they want, because they know “their” voters – especially the highly “educated” middle-class white progs that have become the DFL base – are basically herd animals incapable of critical thought, and the media will do nothing to change that.

Submitted as evidence:

If Keith Ellison has prosecuted a crime more “violent” than keeping a bar open during the pandemic, it’s only after Ken Martin and a bunch of the little endomorphic wannabe tough guys from Macalester who work for him barged into his office with a stack of internal polls showing electoral doom and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

  1. They’re cocky, because they know every election in MN is in the bag. It’s why Walz can tell Johnson to GFY rather than debate him publicly.

Y’all cannot vote yourself out of this.

  2. Keith “prosecuted” Derek Chauvin – after getting four high-profile, experienced, and pro-bono attorneys to sign on to his parade float to do the actual prosecution.

  3. Evidence, shmevidence – truth is what they say it is and two-tier law system will assure they are never held accountable. Besides, election outcome had been predetermined so what do they care about what ANYONE says?

  4. Ellison is the most vulnerable DFL candidate and Schultz has a reasonable chance to unseat him.

That said — let’s hope the Jensen/Birk experiment doesn’t drag down other GOP candidates with them…

  5. Emery,
The DemoCommies have nothing positive to run on, so all they can do is run attack and character assassination ads, using quotes taken out of context. If the chicken shit grandma killer Commandant Klink would debate, he could ask Jensen directly. Just like Pedo Pete, Klink’s handlers are keeping him in the basement with a gag in his lying yapper.
I also want to thank you for proving what a misogynist you are, by painting suburban moms as one issue (abortion) voters. Many of them realize the hypocrisy of doing that, but then, many do not. They don’t want children shot at school or women to get breast cancer, but they support a subtle, yet ghoulish solution; just don’t let them be born!

  6. Jensen said he would “try to ban abortion’, but when he saw that didn’t sit well with Minnesota, he changed his stance to “allow exceptions”. Not good enough. Now he says, abortion is “constitutionally protected in Minnesota”. Pretty much the same thing the Supreme Court nominees said before overturning Roe v. Wade.
And we can dismiss anything Matt Birk says. Someone should advise him that when you find yourself in a hole — quit digging.

Republicans first step was admitting they had a political problem with abortion. Now, instead of ignoring it, they’re scrambling to address it.

They’re hoping to fool the media into pretending most of them don’t want full bans. But most do. And they’ll push all that stuff the second they seize power. This is a cynical ploy to play the media.

  7. ^^Welcome to Emery bizzarro-land, where up is down, water is dry and stones float in the sky like airy bubbles.

  8. Ha! Were I Jensen, I would use the left wingers tactic by referring to the vile act of abortion as ripping babies from their mother’s wombs and in some cases, infanticide. But, as long as we protect womyn’s rights…

  9. One more thing, bot boy.

I would also point out the times Pedo Pete spoke out against abortion, insisting that it be safe and rare, then call him out for doing only for political expediency. But, since he’s a DemoCommie, he can get away with being a hypocrite.

  11. Believe it or not, in 2018 Ellison did not run on putting carjackers, gang bangers, and street criminals in jail. He ran on fighting the federal government, then in the hands of the GOP and the evil Orange Man, and fighting the evil corporations that employ Minnesotans.
Hard to see him reinvent himself as an anti-street-crime crusader.
Ellison was elected MN AG in the same incontinent spasm of MNDFL that gave us Ilhan Omar. Neither could survive an election if their bio’s were honestly reported on by the Twin Cities media. Ellison was baptized into the Catholic, he has said that he changed religion because he found Catholicism an unsuitable religion for a person with his political beliefs. Know one seems to have any interest in what branch of Islam Ellison follows, but apparently it is pro-Israel, pro-abortion, and pro=LGBTQ+.

  12. It would make sense that Jensen would talk about public safety and the economy, but he frequently returns to the topic of the Covid-19 pandemic that got him into the race. Which may explain why he skated to the nomination, but polls in the low 30s for the general. He’s fighting the last war and lacks a forward looking message. Of course, he’s got a bit of a hill to climb, running against a popular governor in a state with 2% unemployment. Overall — Republicans might want to ask themselves why they haven’t won statewide since Pawlenty’s pluralities.

  13. Pretty much the same thing the Supreme Court nominees said before overturning Roe v. Wade.

Who are you trying to convince, Emery? The low-info voters are on the left-leaning sites. The SCOTUS nominees said they would treat Roe v Wade the same as any other precedent.

The Left had FIFTY years to codify abortion into national law, or better yet, get a constitutional amendment passed.

By the way, if Jensen were a left-wing politician, you would characterize his changed stance as “evolving” his position. Kind of like Obama evolved his stance on gay marriage as the polling data showed.

Here’s a little bit of info which may come as a shock to your system: Politicians lie. Everybody knows. The politicians know that we know.

Speaking of which, I’ve got this bridge to sell you…

  14. Hakim X, wife beating, Nation of Islam support….it strikes me that the only reason many Democrats can be returned to office can only charitably described as “amnesia.”
