Badass, but it’s worth noting that Rochester gets a lot of visitors from Arabia in general (not just Saudi) because our doctors are “just a touch better” than those at home, and it seems to appear that the Islamic restrictions are largely “for home”, at least for the men. Along the same lines, relatives of mine have done some partying with noblemen from Jordan, including a substance generally proscribed by Islam.
So I’m guessing QE2 knew that it was a reasonable poke, not a huge one.
