News You Can Use

When your dumbass Karen of a sister-in-law asks for just one bit of “scentific” proof that acquired immunity isn’t in fact “nonexistent”, but is for sake of argument at least as important as vaccination in dealing with Covid?

Give them 64 bits, and counting.

And then 96 more, although some may overlap.

I authorize the use of extreme force to force them to listen to every one.

You’re welcome.

  1. I’m not sure how hard to push this analogy before it breaks down but here goes. The vaccine Nazis tend to be people who believe that only government issued solutions work to solve problems. If you object, they say: I suppose you want to live someplace like Somalia. Comparing Covid vaccination to childhood vaccination is apples vs oranges. None of those vaccines got rolled out in as short a time period and in fact sometimes there were problems. Oral polio vaccines got stopped because they sometimes caused polio, or the first HIB vaccine that created a window for infection by the pathogen it was supposed to stop. I participated in a Covid vaccine trial, my choice, and I’m opposed to mandates except for very limited circumstances.

  2. Vaccinating children is evil.
They don’t suffer the ill effects of covid, adults do. Adults are subjecting children to a vaccine to protect adults. These are not polio and measles vaccines.

    Here is the “scientific justification”:
“We are still very much in the midst of this wave and we know that unfortunately a lot of the recent spread is happening in children and from younger children to the broader community,” said state health commissioner Jan Malcolm.

What bullshit. Did you notice that no science was mentioned? Great job, Minnesota. If you want a good laugh, look up the education and experience of this awful Malcolm woman Walz put in charge of innoculating your children.

  3. Very few people actually need both of their kidneys, yet there are people dying on the waiting list to get a kidney transplant. Public health outcomes would be better if we registered everyone by bloodtype and genetic markers as potential kidney donors. Chances are low that your kidney would actually be “drafted.”
What, don’t you care about public health?
If you think I am exaggerating, just think of what life is like now, and your relationship to the government, compared to two years ago.

  4. ‘Natural Immunity’ from Covid Is not safer than a Vaccine. The logical error in the question is it better to get immunity from the vaccine or the disease is far more fundamental than the one the quoted doctor states. Simply put, the goal of these vaccines is to prevent Covid-19 disease. The effectiveness of the Moderna/Pfizer vaccines is about 95%, meaning about 5% of patients who get the vaccine will get the disease anyway (if they’re exposed). The article implies the corresponding number for ‘natural immunity’ is less than 1% will be reinfected. But that’s not the apples to apples comparison. The apples to apples comparison is the percentage who will get Covid-19 if infected with the virus, which is…100% by definition. In other words, catching Covid-19 in order to not get Covid-19 is…0% effective.

  5. Once again, Emery makes his own argument and then DEMOLISHES it!
Of course, if you are young, covid poses virtually no risk to you, vaxxed or not vaxxed.
The problem the crate-trained have is that people make rational choices for their own health, curse them!
We know that whatever we hear from “public health officials” is messaging, not the truth.

  6. Why it’s almost as if left thinks no one got covid before vaccines came along. Some of us already had it AND survived!! The getting it part has already been done Emory!!

  7. “Drew Pinsky interviewed by Dave Rubin, a rare voice of covid sanity by a doctor who worked with Fauci at the CDC”

Is Woolly referring to the media personality and addiction medicine specialist Dr Drew Pinsky?
“My early comments about equating coronavirus and influenza were wrong. They were incorrect. I was part of a chorus that was saying that, and we were wrong. And I want to apologize for that.” Dr Drew Pinsky

COVID-19 felt like leukemia, Dr. Drew says

  8. If you want to go there, the CDC’s faq STILL says that vaccination is superior to natural immunity. If you follow the cite, it is to a small study of 138 people in Kentucky.
Published last March, before the first “break through” cases.
The CDC has even criticised itself for mangling its messaging. Months later, it hasn’t improved.

  9. Remember that a major part of the push for vaccination mandates is the claim that they “keep others safe”. We of course know this not to be true – while it is true that vaccination (or prior infection – really any significant antibody response) can significantly reduce the chance of you personally developing a severe illness, it is not true that vaccination protects others.
    If you are vaccinated:
    1. You are still able to become infected
    2. You are still able to replicate the virus
    3. You are still able to transmit the virus to others
    4. You are unlikely to know that you are infected/sick because of the decreased severity of your illness, making it more likely that you can unknowingly infect others.

  10. Enough with all the CDC’s bullshit. I’m not going to shoot the juice; period, end of discussion.

  11. President Poopypants hit 38% approval on a USA Today poll, which means it’s probably at 25%…

How’s those juice mandates working out, rat?

  12. Brad, you forgot,

    5. Vaccinated people carry higher viral load therefore more likely to spread the disease.

But ultimately, if Pfizer treatment pill is approved, jabs HAVE to be taken off the market l since they are still vey much experimental. So why the mandates and hullaballoo? Ok, ok, I jest, it is a rhetorical question.

This is something that doesn’t make sense. So you have more copies of the virus that makes you sick, and they are in your airway, but you don’t get as sick? Really? This is not how vaccines work, they stop the virus from hijacking your cells and multiplying. WTF?

  14. Regarding universal registration of kidneys and such, I’m reminded of John Cleese arriving at the house and telling the owner they needed his liver….now…..in “The Meaning of Life.” Not that I’m starting to distrust the government or anything.

  15. PPP hasn’t lost support among R’s or D’s, he is being abandoned by the independents who voted for him in 2020.
This is a death sentence for dem reps and senators from purplish districts, and there are a lot of them. Also state level elected offices.
And it is not going to get better unless the economy improves, and the experts say that we will have stagflation and product shortages through mid 2022, at least, no matter what Slow Joe does.
When W was at least popular, it had a single cause: the Iraq war was going badly. With Biden he is just messing up EVERYTHING.
All foreseeable, given Slow Joe’s focus on . . . climate change and civil rights.
The team he leads is advertising its own ineptness. The secretary of transportation says he can’t fix transportation problems, and his secretary of energy says that she cannot fix energy shortages. They go on TV and say this to anyone who will listen. Slow Joe’s surgeon general says the key to ending the pandemic is to give an ineffective vaccine to school children, who are at negligible risk from the disease.
WTF? This is the bizzarro president, it is like Team Brandon is trying to make things worse and get booted out of office.

  16. jpa.
The son of a friend of mine, is a medical researcher and is with a company that conducts medical trials. His son told him that at least 40% of Pfizer’s new wonder pill, is the same formula as ivermectin. Further, he says that the Merck pill is largely HCQ. Go figure! Another example of the reason to follow the money.

  17. Does Mitch censor comments after they’ve been “published”? I mean, our esteemed troll is referencing a Facebook message or something, and I don’t see one. Did it get removed?

^ Facebook “research” makes everybody an expert nowadays

Sez the guy who was wrong about the Brexit vote failing, wrong about Hillary winning over Trump in a “Landlise,” and, of course, still believes in Hillary’s “russian collusion” hoax.

  19. I really am curious how, with the vaccine, you can have a higher viral load and still not be sick. I know how viruses work. It’s just crazy, something is wrong.
I spent a quarter hour researching this on the web.
Nobody knows anything. Some studies show a higher viral load among the breakthrough cases. Some show lower. It’s all guesswork, except the part where the vaccinated can get covid, die from it, and transmit it to others.
The CDC is utterly useless, as usual.

  20. facts don’t matter to these people it’s a religion with Fauci as pope.

  21. The shorter Emery: “Take your health care advice from me, a person who hates you.”

  22. “Lifejackets are Mandatory.”

I would ask the question to those wearing seatbelts, why are you still involved in a car crash?

  23. I’ve always wondered why states that require motorcycle riders to wear helmets don’t require helmets for car drivers and passengers.
Think of it! Car accident deaths due to head trauma would drop to just about zero!

  24. Twat — By the measure the last republican president said was the only important measure of economic health — the stock market — the U.S. is setting records. Discuss.

  25. Would probably be good for Biden to talk sometimes about how there was all this rioting under Trump and now there isn’t.

  26. I ran across this quote from Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of “The Black Swan”:
“When you develop your opinions on the basis of weak evidence, you will have difficulty interpreting subsequent information that contradicts these opinions, even if this new information is obviously more accurate.”

Remind you of every liberal ever?
Trump was going to start WW3 and crash the economy. Nope, instead we got ISIS in defeat and a roaring economy. Peace broke out.
Trump was supposed to have worked with Putin to steal the 2016 election. Now the evidence indicates that Hillary used Russian intel to play the entire US intelligence appuratus and the media into obsessing on a false story that Trump colluded with Putin.
They do not know their up from their down. Biden is discovering that doing the opposite of what Trump did is turning the country into shit.

  27. I agree, Emery. Biden should a lot of time talking about the riots last summer. He should name names and name organizations. He should identify the rioters as member of the radical wing of his party; he especially should concentrate on the riots in DC last June,

  28. Weird — a year ago you all were clamoring for warp speed to save the election for Trump.

  29. Bond holders are very sensitive to inflation changes which is why it’s very telling that current prices do not seem to forecast sustained inflation.

  30. Emery’s 1:51 is incoherent. I think maybe he’s got his beak into Putin theories again.
After Trump won in 2016 Emery predicted economic disaster. I wonder how much money he lost selling when the DJIA was at 16,000.

  31. One last thought — The “hyperinflation” folks are really upset about the tight labor market, the overlords don’t have a supply of desperate workers like they use to. Of course they can’t say that — so they yell “hyperinflation”.

  32. Who is yelling “hyperinflation,” Emery?
And here is Joe Biden, again creating a crisis where none existed: https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2021/11/08/florida-will-consider-removing-itself-from-osha-banning-employer-vaccine-mandates-in-special-legislative-session

His vax mandate may well be thrown out by the courts, thus further dividing Americans while accomplishing exactly nothing, or by adding to the labor shortage and supply chain issues.
Typical for Slow Joe. Armed with a lifetime of poor judgment, he addresses a non-existent problem and induces a crisis. We’ve seen it before (as in Afghanistan), and we’ll see it again.

  33. Amazing what people can come to believe.

Inflation isn’t due to the $7.8 Trillion in fresh debt run up over only four years by Trump and the Republicans.

It’s due to future spending that hasn’t yet occurred!

Inflation shows up with a delay, as educated people know. The previous president’s deficits are now enshrined in the tax code.

Non-thinkers believe that today’s inflation is due to spending bills that haven’t even passed yet.

  34. Regarding inflation, it of course has everything to do with the eight trillion in deficits that Trump ran, and of course it does not have anything to do with the eight trillion dollars in deficits that Obama ran, and absolutely has nothing to do with Biden’s out of control spending and regulatory binges.

Because no economist that Emery would listen to would consider the possibility that artificially constraining supply while stimulating demand might cause prices to rise. And that means that Emery will not listen to any sound economist.

  35. The fast rebound in the economy (occurring in the Biden Administration) led to supply-chain problems and shortages (which usually lead to inflation.)

I guess you could fault Biden for the fast rebound in the economy, but that wouldn’t line up with your politics.

Biden could reduce the tariffs he inherited which would be bad politics but good policy.

  36. That is the looniest economic analysis I have ever read, Emery. It is crazy, it is loopy.
You start with the idea that Biden is something like a comptentent president (he isn’t). Then every bad economic occurrence — inflation at a thirty year high, supply chain problems that lead to empty store shelves — is actually a good thing.

Having too much money chasing too few goods is the sign of monetary mismanagement. It is not a sign of a healthy economy. Ask a kindergartner, he can teach you a thing or two about economics.
    You are profoundly stupid, Emery.
