Clearly, Andrew Cuomo has outlives his usefulness to Big Left:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced that he would be resigning amid the sexual harassment probe in 14 days.
“New York tough means New York loving, and I love New York and I love you,” Cuomo said, “I would never want to be unhelpful in any way, and I think given the circumstances, the best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to governing, and therefore, that’s what I’ll do.”
I honestly didn’t think it would or could happen, even given that Progressives didn’t much care for Cuomo.
And just watch – his successor will be worse. Maybe not in “groping letch” terms, but policy-wise.
The politician who brought Cuomo down, Letitia James, rose from the Working Families Party, the socialist wing of the progressive movement.
Cuomo did not like the Working Families Party, because they caucused and primaried against him. So he recruited their rising star, Ms James, on the condition that she stab the people who brought her to the dance in the back.
Which she did.
But then she watched and waited for her opportunity to draw her dagger and plunge it into Caesar’s back.
Which she did.
Caesar Cuomo is dead, long live Caesar James.
The memo has gone out to big left and anti-Trump: he’s gone because the Repubs are a cult and the dhimmis aren’t.

I was having dinner at Joseph’s Monday night and one of the TVs had a story (muted, thank God) about all the Cuomo-tion. I saw a crawler saying, “Cuomo defiant, vows to dig in” and my thought was, “He’ll be gone in less than 24 hours.”
Considering all that he is culpable for, this feels a bit like Al Capone going down on tax-evasion charges, but I guess I’ll take it. Maybe he and Avenatti will be “pen pals”.
I’m glad there are other people out there who think things are unacceptable when both Cuomo and Trump do them.

What strikes me, is that Cuomo was ultimately driven from office by members of his own party.
If Cuomo were a Republican — he would still be qualified to sit on the Supreme Court and/or in the White House according to a little less than half of the voting public.

My take regarding Cuomo is that the left was starting to realize that if they did not “off” him for sexual harassment, he was going to be a huge liability next year as the GOP finally got around to telling the world how many people Cuomo had needlessly gotten killed in nursing homes, and which other governors (Walz, Whitmer) were also guilty.
The GOP could still get this done, mind you, but it’s a little harder with Cuomo gone and the world relaxing.
