Gun Control Via The “Free Market“

The Minnesota State Fair board just toss the Minnesota Weapons Collectors Association show – the biggest gun show in Minnesota, and a fairgrounds summer tradition:

“Insurance“ problems.

For an event that has passed without incident for decades.

Anyone want to bet on the political affiliations of the insurance companies board?

  1. It would also be nice to know which cowardly insurance company is involved. Perhaps a grass roots call to gun owners that might be insured by this firm, to take their business elsewhere. Of course, with today’s cancel culture, the companies that are the recipients of the new business, would be subjected to a deluge from the woke keyboard warriors.

  2. The insurance industry is regulated by the states. If MN wasn’t in the control of leftist reprobates, you might have an available avenue for recourse.

Unfortunately you are in the control of leftist reprobates, so you’ll have to get your penis substitutes elsewhere.

  4. Berg: Any thoughts regarding the Minnesota Supreme Court’s decision stating the State’s permit-to-carry law doesn’t violate 2nd Amendment?

  5. Here is another headline for you Mitch: “Gun Control via Law Suits”

I wonder who is behind Mexico’s lawsuit against US gun companies (although Colt is no longer american-owned)? Fast and Furious? No problem! It’s the GUNS!

  6. 1) Name of insurer and details of insurance contract.
    2) Was an attempt made to find an alternate insurer?

A GOP legisltaor should be able to get this info.

  7. Suing the State Fair or its insurance company is a dead loser in Minnesota courts, as they’re entirely staffed by Liberal Democrats who rule as the DFL dictates, no less than the Liberals on the United States Supreme Court always vote in lockstep with the Progressive Narrative. Don’t believe me?

The Minnesota Supreme Court held that Governor Dayton had the power to abolish the legislature by vetoing its funding.

The Minnesota Supreme Court held that nobody had standing to challenge Governor Walz’ Executive Orders suspending the Constitution during the Peacetime Emergency – not individuals, not businesses, not members of the Legislature.

The Minnesota Supreme Court held there were no less restrictive alternatives to protect the public from gun violence than our current licensing and permitting scheme, none, despite the fact nearly half of all states have ‘constitutional carry’ laws and shooting rates comparable to or lower than ours.

Fundamental rights exist only so long as somebody will protect them. If the government won’t do it . . . well, that’s what the Founders were talking about in the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence

  8. ^^ In sum, liberal democracy is good. Communism, fascism, theocracy, and kleptocratic authoritarianism are bad.

  9. Threadjacks aren’t working, so you’re trying to make yourself look stupid as a distraction? Success is yours, Emery.

How many other venues are available to the MWCA for shows near the cities?
I see they have shows coming up in St. Cloud and Rochester.

The web site has an email newsletter subscription available:

    https://www.mwca.org/

and there is a link there to join or renew membership in the organization ($35 and $30 respectively).

  10. I predict a larger turnout for gun shows at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the near future. No reason, just a guess.
