I Heard It On The NARN

Angus Fox’s series, “When Sons become Daughters“, on Quillette. It’s a seven part read, and not always easy, but very worth it.

Also – Genspect is amplifying the voices of parents of gender-questioning children against the bullying and gaslighting of modern society.

  1. I found this bit from the series interesting:
Father and son had difficulty talking to each other for a while, but the ice broke when Asher showed his dad a YouTube video asking the simple question, “How many genders are there?” Otis pushed for an answer, and an answer in numerical format. Logically, it had to be more than two. Otherwise, “sex” would suffice as a descriptor. But it also had to be fewer than 7.6 billion, the Earth’s population. Otherwise you could just make do with “personality” or “character.” The difficulty in nailing down a number caused Asher to doubt some of his premises.

It illustrates how insane the cultural Left has become. They are not even attempting to use reason anymore. This is a good tactic, if someone explains that there are more than two genders, ask them to tell you how many there are, and define them.

  2. I am torn between wondering whether the current transgender craze is more to do with mental illness (and a seriously sick society generating it), or whether it’s the medicalizing of “being a teenager”, or both. Wow, that was powerful.

I had previously had the hope that the failure to find significant benefits to transgender surgeries and treatments would give advocates pause, per the reality that castration is a really radical alternative to talk therapy and such. At this point, however, the denial of reality is such that the advocates seem to be an LGBTxxx version of the Moonies, Heaven’s Gate, Jonestown, or…..the Democratic Party.
