Feniks > Penzey’s

A Michigan ammo company vows not to sell ammunition to Biden voters…

…and puts its marketing where its mouth is:

“Are you really willing to walk away from a paying customer simply because they voted for Joe Biden?” the company asked rhetorically. “Yes, yes we are. We’re dead serious.”

“We don’t want your money, and you shouldn’t want us to have it because we’re going to use it to make more ammo, sell it to the citizenry, and do everything in our power to prevent Joe Biden’s administration from usurping the rights of Americans,” the company wrote.

Not just its marketing, but its sales portal:

As a way to weed out the unwanted customers, the company reportedly inserted a questionnaire into its purchasing process that asks whether prospective customers voted for Biden in the 2020 presidential election. If they did, it’s no sale for them.

Some “progressive” companies led the way with partisan-based marketing after Trump’s election – Penzey’s very publicly told conservatives (not just Trump voters) to stop patronizing them (a request I could not comply with, as I’ve never shopped there before, either – which makes sense; I suspect their demographics, well-to-do white urbanites with lots of disposable income, overlaps with GOP voters only incidentally).

TL:dr – The good news: fighting cancel culture is a good thing, and I applaud Feniks.

The bad-ish news? Feniks is just as sold out of all stock as every other ammo shop.

  1. The cancelers are well organized.
Baen Books, the SF publisher, was recently forced to remove one of its forums.
The way it worked was this:
A lefty guy, a very minor SF writer, Jason Sanford, scoured the archives of the forum looking for anything objectionable (one example was an anonymous person referring to another anonymous person who claimed to be from India as a “swarthy adversary”).
Sanford published his hit piece on his Patreon site.
Within hours, unnamed individuals contacted Baen’s web service provider (Amazon, probably) and demanded that the web service provider blacklist Baen books. The Sanford hit piece was used as evidence that Baen had violated its TOS with the web service provider.
The web service provider performed no investigation. It accepted the material in the hit piece as accurate. Baen books was able to keep its web presence only by removing its open forum.
Sanford, the people who used his hit piece as evidence, and some drones at the web service provider had to work together to make this happen.

  2. Although I applaud the effort, now that the word is out, communists that voted for Biden, will just perform like they do on everything; lie. They’ll just say they didn’t vote for him. If I were their web administrator, I would tie the questionnaire to each state’s voter registration sites, to verify. Even if only 80% got busted, it would be effective.

  3. More of this, please.

Also, more discrimination in where we spend our money. If a company supports things that are harmful to our people, shop elsewhere.

The Strunk household does not do business with any company that supports woke, anti-American, anti-Western, anti-White groups.

Mrs. Strunk was a bit put off with the loss of Netflix and Amazon prime, but has come to love Roku. The sudden disappearance of degenerate, unwholesome leftist propaganda has really red-pilled her.

  4. I expect Biden’s ‘Justice Department’ to begin an investigation soon.

The company refuses to sell to Biden voters.
    Biden voters are overwhelmingly Black.
The company’s action, while appearing race-neutral on its face, has a disparate impact on Black customers.
The company is engaging in unlawful racial discrimination against Blacks.

We can’t beat them playing by the old rules because that game is rigged against us. We need to think up new and different ways to win, thinking outside the box, setting aside the rules. No, I don’t know what that will look like.

  5. JD
Feniks just needs to make the face of their active supporters/endorsers seen on their website as Brown, Black, Asian, Female, and sometimes Pink (not all at once). There are plenty of articulate shooters in those demographics.

  6. Biden voters are overwhelmingly Black.
Can’t help but notice tat all the statues being torn down are statues of white people.
I am certain that Biden’s JD will get right on it.

  7. Silly MO, it is only raccccciiiiiissssssssmmmm when black folks are offended. Dontchaknow?

  8. Silly, jpa, it is only raccccciiiiiissssssssmmmm when old cynical and young clueless why peepl are pretend to be offended on behalf of black people who then have permission to be offended.

  9. The way it works, according to the ethnic studies people (yes, I took Hawaiian Studies in college) is that no other group can define you other than yourself. Only Hawaiian can define what is and is not Hawaiian and who is and who is not Hawaiian, for example.
The move to eliminate “whiteness” as a racial category is de facto genocide, even if the goal is not to kill people, but to turn people from identifying as white people to identifying as ethnic Irish, French, German, etc.
The various “isms” are inchoate and potentially and sometimes actually violent. You cannot get there from here, they cannot accomplish their goals.

  10. For the long term, what scares me most is that EPA regulations made it basically impossible to have a lead mine in the U.S.. So our supplies for the “momentum” in a bullet are basically held hostage by foreign nations, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a OLEC (Organization of Lead Exporting Countries) formed. Let’s be real here–there are not a lot of other uses for the metal now that it’s not used in solder anymore, and we know the military and medical device manufacturers (who are exempt from ROHS regulations) can afford the extra cost in a way that gun owners can not.

  11. MO – studies – did you ever run into a guy named Mike Kolb while in Hawaii? I think he did something with anthropology.
