Public Policy

If I told you that scientists had discovered a new virus which was
guaranteed to kill one guy living in Schenectady, New York unless the
entire nation went into super-strict lock-down, should we do it?

No, because public policy isn’t made for one guy, or ten, or 100, or
1,000 or even 10,000, which is more than the number of confirmed deaths
due to Covid-19, according to newly revised figures from the CDC.

Liberals are scrambling to explain that the new number doesn’t mean what
it says it means.  To them, ‘died of’ and ‘died with’ are the same.  If
Covid is listed as a ‘contributing factor,’ then it’s still a deadly
disease and we should still be in lock-down.

Nonsense.  When I die, the cause of death will be heart failure and the
contributing causes of death will be obesity, diabetes, high blood
pressure, high cholesterol and cirrhosis of the liver. But I didn’t die
of any of those contributing cases.  You don’t pick and choose which of
the underlying causes is the scariest. You pick the cause that killed me.

The existence of the virus is not a hoax.  The panic response is a
hoax.  And this is proof.

This is one of those areas where I thing both sides are putting out terrible information.

If someone who’s 100 pounds overweight and has hypertension and diabetes gets Covid and dies, what killed her? You could say all the comorbidities were at fault . You might not be wrong, per se – but if she’d have hypothetically lived another ten years but for the Covid, what then?

Medicine involves a lot of ambiguity. Politics – at least, political messaging – doesn’t.

  1. The longer this bull goes on, the more evidence that this is a plot of the globalists, is presented. Several years ago, Henry Kissinger, one of the architects of the New World Order, made some very telling statements, that point to their goal. This one is from a presentation that he made at a meeting of the Bilderburger’s meeting in 1992. He didn’t realize that it was being recorded by a member of the Swiss delegation.

“Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government.”

  2. Boss – A year ago, I’d have told you to take off your tin foil hat. As we roll into fall 2020, I’m wondering as well. I don’t think 9/11 was an inside job. I don’t think there was a gunman on the grassy knoll. But, if asked if there’s a possibility that the lockdown, riots, etc. have had a guiding hand working to bring us to the brink, I’d entertain that possibility. Would the current riots have occurred to the extent they are without a couple months of lockdown before? And, keeping things still locked down? Would things be different if communities of faith were again allowed to congregate and discuss the things that are going on?

Add in the levels of fear being pushed – financial fear, COVID fear, civil unrest fear, politcal fear. Is the intent to push it to the point of “Stop – take what you want from me, just make the fear go away!” or is it just all a big coincidence?

  3. I’m waiting for a Minnesota reporter to ask Governor Oz at his next press conference what he plans on doing with that large refrigerated warehouse the state bought for all the Covid corpses. I’m not holding my breath.

    I get it – but still…

Say someone was shot but lingered for months in the ICU. Eventually, pneumonia, hypertension, diabetes and a lifetime of smoking Camels took their toll.

You don’t think the shooter would be charged with homicide?

On the other hand, if the victim had Covid, the cause of death would be Covid and the prosecutor would have to settle for less. 🙂
