  1. “Safe” has become like “Fair,” a word with no objective meaning and therefore no utility in social decision-making.

    It’s not “fair” that you get more free stuff than I do. I’m not “safe” if you exercise nude. These are not measurable, actionable criteria. They are tantrums.

  2. “Gymgoers who saw Stagno’s naked exercises reported feeling ‘disgusted,’ ‘sick’ and ‘unsafe,’ Morgan said.”
    It is truly horrifying to think of it, but most men (myself included), carry within their pants a weapon capable of raping and impregnating a nearly limitless number of women.

  3. MP
    not “nearly limitless” – when will women learn.
    Never mind that after the initial couple of cycles any subsequent recovery cycle times can triple and quadruple if not lapse into a state where The Old Avenger suffers a total failure to launch, the real enemy is chafing!

  4. Uh, MP, Lord knows I’d feel disgusted, sick and unsafe using any equipment or floor after he’d touched it, especially after looking at the mugshot. Dude obviously has some issues.

  5. Not that I would think that it’s (being naked at the gym) acceptable, but if Planet Fitness is going to put up posters saying that it’s a Judgement Free Zone, they probably shouldn’t judge.

    It brings to mind the All Are Welcome Here signs (now being replace by Ilhan Omar signs). I keep wanting to knock and ask to use their bathroom.

  6. Planet Fitness is the same crew that has the “lunk alarms” if you grunt too hard or drop a barbell, and expelled a member when she complained about a pre-op transgender man in the locker room. Tolerance only goes one way there, really.

    That noted, given that there are about 30 STDs that can be transmitted when someone’s bare private parts touch gym equipment, count me with nerdbert on this one. You want to do naked yoga, fine, but do it in your own home, or at a business that sponsors that. The rest of us shouldn’t need to disinfect everything we touch because some don’t want to wear their Fruit of the Looms and a pair of shorts.

  7. Reminds me of an interview I saw with actor Adam Driver (Kylo Ren). He was a Marine and scheduled to deploy to the sandbox when he fractured his sternum in a mountain bike accident. He was given a medical discharge and eventually was able to be invited to study acting at the Julliard. Needless to say, there was something of a culture shock between his old life and his new one and in learning to modulate his reactions – especially, as he shared it – when someone left their butt sweat on his yoga mat.

  8. bike;

    I was going to comment;

    Meanwhile, three transgender men were showering in the womyn’s locker room.
