When you’re a conservative/Republican in Saint Paul, you get used to having your campaign lawn signs stolen or vandalized.
“It’s just kids”, the local DFLers say – but then you notice your neighbors’ Obama and Hillary and Betty McCollum and, probably as late as 2010, Wellstone signs are utterly unmolested.
And ideas – dreams, really – form in your head. Dreams that are probably illegal. Given that it’s Saint Paul, they’re likely illegal to dream.
In Michigan, a woman got tired of tolerant liberals driving on her lawn to knock over her Trump signs. So she took direct action.
And boy, did it pay off:
She put a homemade spike strip under one of her signs.
One tolerant liberal wrote a check she couldn’t cash; after blowing out a tire, she couldn’t actually change the tire. She had to call for help.
Giving me idea? Oh, heck yeah.
I’m in NE Minneapolis. If I were to put out a campaign sign for a non democrat, I’d be more concerned about the house getting egged or windows broken by the tolerant left. On a side note, I haven’t seen many sHillery signs out either.
My neighbor has had his Trump/Pence sign vandalized, then stolen. He retaliated by getting a bigger sign and put solar powered spotlights on it. The tolerant liberals haven’t touched it again.
Another clever Trump supporter in Indiana, was also fed up with her signs being stolen, so she attached fishing line to it and set up a surveillance camera. The camera caught an overweight woman attempting to do a snatch and run, ending up flat on her ass. I saw the video a couple of weeks ago, so it’s out there.

We got the kids down the street on video karate chopping our sign then coming back and swiping both signs. 40 minutes later here comes Dad with the two signs and one stand. He dumped them in a heap on our lawn.
The reason the DFL tells us it was only kids is because their teacher union allies probably TELL our kids the R candidate is evil and a dire physical threat. So we chose not to f/u although running a big screen projection of their antics crossed our minds. In our case these kids who stole our signs looked like 4th graders – one black one white.
They were trying to create a safe space.
Funny but I wonder if there’s a correlation in that pollster’s are calling out a big lead for Hildebeast because they don’t see many Trump signs?
If/when Trump wins in a landslide how bad is civil unreat going to be?

I’m thinking that there will be civil unrest regardless of who wins.
You can bet your ass that in CD4 and CD5, the police would be called on you and you could face malicious property damage charges, even tho the scum was trespassing on your property and damaging your property.
Just like the guy who got sued because a burglar fell thru his skylight.
