Stacked?

Fresch Fisch – a longtime friend of this blog and of the NARN – attended F Rep. McCollum’s “Town Hall Meeting” at Macalester last night.

Yes, I was there with my big red sign that read “More debt? Print more money?”. I got in, one of only 400. I would presume that more than a couple thousand were there by 6:00 PM, and the show didn’t start till 7:00PM.

Astroturf?  Betty had it!

And could you believe it? The place was packed with pre-made Obama signs that said “THANK YOU”. I didn’t see any pre-made signs from the insurance lobby, just simple homemade signs.

Part of me wishes I could have been there – but I couldn’t have made it by 4PM anyway.

Anyone else make it?  Please leave a link or a comment…

  1. I was there too, but I didn’t get in. If there were 400 inside, there may have been 300 outside.

The crowd seemed pretty evenly split outside, judging from the Obamaturf signs in evidence. But the speakers giving Betty! an earful were 3 to 1 against ObamaCare.

It was funny to watch the smug moonbats outside deflate everytime another speaker stepped up to shred the Democrat government takeover…their feral little mugs got all crestfallen, poor babies!

One guy said that he had declared bankruptcy after a spinal injury emptied his medical insurance….but he wasn’t complaining and he didn’t want ObamaCare.

Another guy said that his mind was made after the Democrats tried to push this crap through before the recess. Betty! responded by saying that “no one was trying to ramrod any bills through Congress.” (I guess she didn’t get the memo from Pelosi), and the crowd outside erupted in “LIAR!”.

    It was sweet.

If the Party of Scrubs can’t even get a majority together in moonbat central, maybe it’s time to throw in the towel.

  2. Swiftee, St Paul paper said it was overwhelming pro-Barry. Overall the article seemed fair. Better then the front page, above the fold yesterday that said it was Big Insurance financing the opposition.

  3. And those AARP ads with the cars blocking the ambulance are starting to annoy me.

I just turned 50 and they’re dunning me to join. But yet they’re claiming I’m a tool of special interests and I won’t lose my doctor and there will be no rationing.

Who do they think they’re kidding?

Yeah, because Bill Salisbury is a real non-partisan kind of lefty reporter!

Most people showed up empty handed, Obama’s astro-turf outfit was handing out signs. Ever see a picture of 100 people with 20 signs in the air?

There *had* to be more moonbats there, it was right in the heart of the feverswamp. But even some self identified Democrats said “No Obamacare”.
