A Fair Day

Today, the Northern Alliance Radio Network takes it out to the Minnesota State Fair from 11AM-5PM.  We’ll be at our posh digs on Dan Patch Avenue, about 100 yards west of the main Snelling Avenue entrance, next to the Merchandise Mart, across from the Culligan, Farmers Union and DFL (hah!) booths.

We have eight solid hours of great live radio planned:

  • Volume I “The First Team” –  Brian and John or some combination thereof do their usual, hilarious State Fair schtick from 11-1.
  • Volume II “The Headliner”Ed is back!, and we’ll be up from 1-3.  Today, we’re scheduled to have GOP Gubernatorial candidates Paul Kolls, Pat Anderson and Marty Seifert.
  • Volume III, “The Final Word”King is up next; he’s got Laura Brod and, given the way his fair shows usually work, a ton of other people too.
  • And don’t forget, our long-time colleagues David Strom and Margaret Martin lead things off on the David Strom Show from 9-11AM!

(All times Central)

So tune in to all six hours of the Northern Alliance Radio Network, the Twin Cities’ media’s sole guardians of sanity. You have so many options:

  • AM1280 in the Metro
  • streaming at AM1280’s Website,
  • On Twitter (the Volume 2 show will use hashtag #narn2)
  • UStream video and chat (at HotAir.com or at UStream).
  • Podcast at Townhall, usually by Monday
  • Good ol’ telephone – 651-289-4488!

Join us at the Fair!

  1. Make sure you have a microphone handy for the live Fair audience just in case another one of your pinko commie(!) guests suggest that North Korean Juche (JOO-chay) is “communist-lite”:

Kim Il-sung advanced Juche as a slogan in a December 28, 1955, speech titled “On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and Establishing Juche in Ideological Work”

in rejection of the policy of de-Stalinization (bureaucratic self-reform) in the Soviet Union.

Oh yeah- turning down the radio when we call in is trouble enough- now we have to walk, like, a whole block away (maybe to the DFL Booth!) until Labor Day . . .
