When The ObamaCare Story Is Finally Written…

…then:

  1. It will no doubt be written by someone from outside the American mainstream media (but that’s a no-brainer)
  2. Somebody will no doubt note and write about the deep, intense web of influence UnitedHealth group, based in Minnetonka, has spun for itself with this administration.

Naturally, it won’t happen until Obama leaves office. But I’m just saying.

Heck, it’s something to look forward to.

  1. So, in a not unsurprising twist of fate – on Friday, the administration says that the term “States” in the ACA means not territories…….

………..jump to Tuesday and now they say with regard to the DC Circuit ACA ruling that “States” includes the federal government.

I’m not sure even a bobblehead can handle reverses this severe and jarring.

Life moves pretty fast – if you don’t stop and look around, you might miss it!

Brad, with todays conflicting rulings the courts are trying to parse out what the meaning of the word is – is.

  3. Having read both the DC Circuits ruling as well as the 4th Circuit ruling, I find the DC ruling to be more fully rationalized and supported.

It is quite troubling that they both used the same tests (Chevron) and managed to come to entirely different conclusions.

Another top example of the law becoming some complicated that NO ONE can read the law and understand at which point they have become a criminal.

  4. Brad -we are already criminals somehow. They are just waiting for a more appropriate time to decide how to charge us!

  5. Bill C,
I do know that UHC tracks EVERYTHING outgoing through their networks particularly if it mentions the company or any of its products, so hopefully you don’t post using any UHC resources – no reason to give the pissants in HR anything to bring on the vapors.
