…I’ve pondered the idea of this band covering this song:
…although it was more one of those “what if Napoleon had a B-52 at Waterloo” sorts of things.
Oh, yeah – it’s the E Street Band playing “Highway to Hell” in Perth Australia, as a tribute to native Perthian Bon Scott.
(Closed circuit to Tom Morello; lower your damn guitar. You look like you need more fiber in your diet with your guitar cinched up around your ribcage. That is all).
Same response the polka band at a 70’s-era wedding used to get when they played “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog” (Joy to the World) for “the kids.”
Yeah, although Bon Scott died 34 years ago….
Indeed. Not unlike many of my older leisure-suited relatives. Some whom nearly did so on the dance floor at the wedding, trying to schottische to recycled Three Dog Night.
Brucee is capo-ed up to about the eighteenth fret. That’s just weird, especially for a power chord song.
I caught that. Morello too.
I’ve noticed Bruce playing with capos a lot lately. I wonder if it’s a matter of trying to get some separation in sound among four guitar players, or if it’s mostly tuning around Bruce’s voice…
