On Tuesday, when word got out that there’d been a flub in the Oath of Office, the assembled masses of Sorosbloggers swung into action.

“It was Roberts’ fault!  You can NOT BLAME BARACK!  IT WAS ROOOOOOOBEEEEEERTTTTTTSS FAULLLLLLLLT!

Duly noted.

At any rate, the conspiracy-mongers have been silenced:

At 735 pm, Roberts administered the oath of office again to obama in the map room. Robert gibbs said the wh counsel, greg craig, believes the oath was fine Tuesday, but one word was out of sequence so they did this out of a “an abundance of caution.”

Perhaps Roberts could have re-notarized Obama’s birth certificate, and silenced ninnies from both sides…

  1. I’m surprised they didn’t say it was Bush’s fault because he appointed Roberts

Actually, AC did say that yesterday on a thread, if I remember correctly.

  2. AC pointed out that there was an ironic coincidence between Bush, who usually couldn’t talk his way out of a paper bag, and Roberts.

Pull off the tin-foil Mitch – most of us simply think it was funny, comical really. We hardly think it was intentional – but gin it up, it’s what you do best.

Speaking of Scaifenet, how many of your sychophants think that the appointment of Hillary think it has to do with giving her a path to the Presidency through succession?

    Talk about paranoid.

  3. Pull off the tin-foil Mitch

I love the way that the collectivists around here steal the snarky insults hurled at them in comments of earlier threads. Do try to be a bit more original!

  4. Master of None, DiscordianStooj, I seem to recall that other Presidents have sworn in (in one case ‘affirmed’ rather than sworn, Pierce if I remember correctly ) without benefit of Bible, like Teddy Roosevelt. There is no requirement for any religious book for the oath to be valid, so far as I am aware.

There will have to be some new, different basis for conspiracy theories. Hooray for novelty…
