In All The Papers

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Gotta hand it to the President, he pays keen attention. But to whom?

He learned of the Fast and Furious gun-running operation by . . . seeing
it on the news.

He learned of that Air Force One flight that caused panic in Manhattan
by . . . seeing it on the news.

He learned of the IRS targeting conservative groups by . . . seeing it
on the news.

He learned of the Justice Department seizing AP reporters’ records by .
. . seeing it on the news.

He learned about the attack on Benghazi by . . . seeing it on the news.

He learned how badly the Obama-care computer program was crashing by . .
. seeing it on the news.

Now it seems he learned the NSA was spying on Angela Merkel, the German
Chancellor by . . . her calling him to complain about it. What, did he
miss the news that day? Guy’s slipping up.

Maybe he gets his news from a new government website?

  1. I think it was Cap’n Ed’s place that featured a Daily Show clip of the President learning about some issue “when he saw himself on TV explaining it”. The funniest part was their still shot of Obama sitting in a chair with a look of surprise while watching a television picture of Obama at the briefing room podium. Classic.

  2. If Obama was an over-promoted affirmative action action lawyer, community organizer, and inner-city politician from a corrupt state, how would his behavior be different?

  3. Valerie Jarrett.
If Jarrett was an adviser to a Republican president, the MSM would have teams of journalists investigating everything about her. She became wealthy by putting together public-private real estate deals in Chicago, fer goodness sake.
I imagine, back in 2008, all the good reporters were busy trying to find out how much Sarah Palin spent on her tanning bed.

  4. I suspect that President Obama is running it all. That could be the problem. Unlike Erich Brenn on the Ed Sullivan Show, President Obama is unable to keep all the ever-increasing plates spinning, and unwilling to relinquish some plates for others to tend. The only time I seem to hear of others’ involvement is when the are getting the blame. He sure seems to be laying low right now while others are taking the heat.

Although unlikely, I wouldn’t rule out the miniscule possibility that if things go too far the he could quit, abdicate, or whatever it’s called. Right now, he’s in his last term, things probably won’t get much better for him, he’s a lame duck, and even the media is not his friend. I wonder if The Queen and her court wasn’t also checking out new locations for a post-retirement home during her world tours? We all know that he’s got the cash to do it. He could make a very powerful statement to America, then move out before the riots reach a full head of steam.

I don’t think he has much, if any, allegiance to anything except, hopefully, his family. He could give his kids a multicultural childhood/adolescence like he had, still be mourned by his followers, and most importantly, have had the last word … one that begins with F.

  5. Wouldn’t it be great if, the next time Obama talks about building the economy from ‘the bottom up and the middle out’, some enterprising journalist would ask him what the Hell he is talking about? And perhaps mention, in passing, that poor and middle-class Americans, and especially Blacks and Hispanics, have experienced economic devastation since he was sworn into office?
